Abstract

In this paper harmful phytoplankton and herbivorous zooplankton model with Hollimg type IV functional response is proposed and analyzed. The local stability analysis of the system is carried out. The global dynamics of the system is investigated with the help of the Lyapunov function. Finally, the analytical obtained results are supported with numerical simulation.

في هذا البحث تم اقتراح و تحليل نظام العوالق النباتية والعوالق الحيوانية مع دالة الاستجابة لهولنك ذات النوع الرابع. السلوك الديناميكي المحلي للنظام تمت دراسته. كما تم مناقشة السلوك الديناميكي الشامل بمساعدة دالة ليابانوف, واخيرا تم تدعيم النتائج التحليلية الناتجة باستخدام المحاكاة العددية وقد لوحظ بان النظام يمتلك اما نقطة استقرار او ديناميكية دورية.

Abstract

This study was included identification of phytoplanktons in sedimentation basins inpurification drinking water stations of petrochemical and AL-Ribatt in Basrah governorate forsix month from September 2013 to February 2014 , Included measurements of somephysical , chemical and biological factors affected on phytoplankton growth withmeasurement the concentration of some important nutrients ( Nitrate , Nitrite , Phosphate andSilicate ) . This study also measurement the concentration of hepatotoxins ( Microcystins ) indrinking water as the first time in Iraq .Study was showed dominance of phytoplanktons ofclass : Cyanophyceae reach to 37.5 and 40 % in two AL-Ribatt and petrochemical companystation respectively followed by other calsses Bacillariophyceae , Chlorophyceae andEuglenophyceae on arrangement. Nitrate concentrations in two station reach between 1.7 -26μg /l , Nitrite 0.043 – 1.5 μg /l , Phosphate 0.01 – 0.42 μg /l and Silicate 10.1-57.6 μg /l .significant differences are found between months in two stations . The quantitative studywas appeared that the mean number of non-diatoms algae range between 288-560 ×103 cell / L in AL-Ribatt station and range between 352-496 × 103 cell / L in petrochemicalcompany station , while diatoms range between 33-118 × 103 cell / L in AL-Ribatt station andbetween 33.84-118 × 103 cell / L in petrochemical company station . The concentration ofhepatotoxin ( Microcystins) in two station range between ( 0-2.86 ) μg /l the highly valuewere recorded in September in AL-Ribatt station with non-significant differences betweentwo station while significantly between months month in MCs concentration at probabilitylevels p≤0.05 .
