Abstract

In this research, a non-thermal plasma system was designed and a non-thermal plasma needle was manufactured for argon gas operating at normal atmospheric pressure. The electrical description of this system studied by using two different values of voltages (4.9,8) kV. Where the results showed the small amount of electrical current consumed by the system of plasma needle up to several microns of amps, and the value of the electrical current increase with the increasing gas flow, as well as the results, showed that happen a breakdown voltage at (8) kV when gas flow (4 l/min) causing a slight decrease in the electrical current value.

في هذا البحث، تم تصميم وتصنيع منظومة بلازما غير الحرارية لغاز الأرجون والتي تعمل عند الضغط الجوي الاعتيادي. حيث تم دراسة الوصف الكهربائي لهذه المنظومة المصنعة وذلك من خلال استخدام قيمتين مختلفتين من الفولتية (4.9,8) كيلو فولت. حيث اظهرت النتائج التي تم الحصول عليها صغر قيمة التيار الكهربائي المستهلك من قبل منظومة أبرة البلازما غير الحرارية حيث كان بحدود عدة مايكرونات من الامبير ، وكانت قيمة التيار الكهربائي تزداد زيادة طردية مع زيادة تدفق الغاز ، وكذلك اظهرت النتائج حدوث انهيار في الفولتية عندما تكون الفولتية المستخدمة (8) كيلو فولت والتي سببت انخفاض قليل في قيمة التيار الكهربائي عندما يكون تدفق الغاز (4 لتر/دقيقة).

Abstract

The development in the field of medical physics has led to the use of devices that are manufactured under normal conditions to make tremendous progress in the world of development in medical treatment by using these devices with modern techniques by reducing the use of antibiotics and relying on these tools and devices that link between physics and modern therapeutic medicine. In this research, a non-thermal plasma system for argon gas operated at normal atmospheric pressure was designed, this system was applied on Pseudomonas Aeruginosa bacteria isolated from burn patients from Yarmouk Teaching Hospital. These bacteria were exposed to this system, the results showed that these bacteria were killed at time (5 min) and (8kV) where the argon gas flow rate was (5l/min).

أدى التطور في مجال الفيزياء الطبية الى استخدام الاجهزة التي يتم تصنيعها وتعمل تحت ظروف طبيعية الى احداث طفرة في العلاج الطبي وذلك بتقليل استخدام المضادات الحيوية والاعتماد على هذه الادوات والاجهزة التي تربط ما بين الفيزياء والطب العلاجي الحديث ، في هذه البحث تم تصميم منظومة بلازما غير حرارية لغاز الارجون تعمل عند الضغط الجوي الاعتيادي ، حيث تم تطبيق هذه المنظومة على بكتيريا Pseudomonas Aeruginosa) ) التي عزلت من المرضى المصابين بالحروق من مستشفى اليرموك التعليمي حيث تم تعريض هذه البكتريا لهذه المنظومة حيث تم الحصول على نسبة القتل التام لهذه البكتريا عند الزمن (5دقيقة) وعند فولتية (8 كيلو فولت) وتدفق غاز (5 لتر/دقيقة).

Abstract

Background: In the present study used device jet plasma needle with atmospheric pressure which generates non thermal plasma jet to measure treatment potent with plasma against pathogenic bacteria founded in UTI was inactivated with plasma at 10 sec, Objective:. This work included the application of the plasma produced from the system in the field of bacterial sterilization , where sample of Gram- negative bacteria (Escherichia coli) were exposed to intervals (1-10)second . Midstream Urine samples swabs were obtained from patients with urinary tract infections.Type of the study: Cross -sectional study.Methods: The work were used in this study obtained from studying 100 urine samples, the age of patients ranged between 10 years to 60 years. They were 60 females and 40 males. These samples were cultured on culture media to isolate bacterial colonies .After that, bacteria were identified by means of highly specific investigations Escherichia coli, plasma needle treatment is applied on bacteria through sterilization, and adhesion.Results : It was found that the percentage of the killing of Gram-negative bacteria (E.coli) was 100% at (10) second, also decreasing bacterial adhesion on epithelial cells, where numbers adhesion bacterial with uroepithelial cells decrease after treatment with plasma needle .Conclusion : From this work, it has been observed that applied voltage ,distance between plasma needle and treatment model as well as time treatment effect on inactivation bacteria and sterilization ,also it effect on decreasing bacterial adhesion on epithelial cells, where numbers adhesion bacterial with uroepithelial cells decrease after treatment with plasma needle .
