White Spot Lesions Among Patients Treated With Fixed Orthodontic Appliance at Different Time Intervals

Abstract

Background:- White spot lesions are common esthetic problem that compromise the success of orthodontic treatment. This study aimed to assess white spot lesions in patients with fixed orthodontic appliance at different time intervals.Materials & Methods:- Thirty two patients (24 females and 8 males) were included in this study and they underwent clinical examination for white spot lesions using enamel decalcification index at four time intervals: (2-3 weeks after appliance insertion, 2, 4 and 6 months).Results:- The patients were free of white spot lesions at the appliance insertion visit. The mean of white spot lesions was 2.22 which were increased significantly during six months to reach 24.59 at the end of study. There was a significant difference between the maxillary and the mandibular arches, however, there was no significant difference found between the right and the left sides in both arches. The total numbers of teeth affected by white spot lesions were 74.61% after six months of treatment. Maxillary second premolar and mandibular canine were the most affected teeth; whereas the gingival area around the orthodontic brackets was the most affected area.Conclusion:-Orthodontic patients had a high risk for development of white spot lesions

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) stands as a major public health problem worldwide. The rapid diagnosis of individuals with active TB and detection of individuals with latent TB and rapid introduction of effective treatment to prevent them from spreading of disease. The aim of study was to evaluation the IGRA in the diagnosis of TB in comparison to other tests (conventional and molecular tests) during the period from October/2015 to June/2016 in advisory clinic for respiratory diseases and thoracic in Al-Samawa city in Al- Muthanna province. Sixty sputum and blood specimens were taken in this study was conducted with randomly selected people for evaluation of immunological detection of active and non-active tuberculosis compare with control individuals by using T-Spot. TB test, compare with tuberculin skin test (TST), conventional and molecular tests. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity that estimated for T-Spot.TB test compare to TST were 51% and 47% respectively, and ORA was 50 %. This study concludes capability of T-Spot.T B test in diagnosis of active, under- treatment and latent PTB cases with more benefit to diagnose of extra pulmonary cases. Also, the study confirmed the failure of TST test in evaluation of PTB positive and negative incidences in respect of vaccinated or non- vaccinated status.

Abstract

This research means study production using red iron oxide for production oil spot Technique in high temperature glaze, While the objective of this research: is the production technique of oil spot using iron oxide high-temperature glass red.And search procedures, work burn, this program is firing glaze multilayer oxidized (LG), and in the light of this program were selected according to the glaze mixes the firing program and adding red iron oxide (Fe2O3) to these mixtures (10%) To mix the glaze base, and add the coloring pigments to mix and cover glaze (10%).The researchers also conducted screening system chromatography (RGB) for results through the use of chromatography device (Precise Color Reader).The main conclusions of the research.1.apply two layers of glaze, the basis of which contains iron oxide red the lower temperature of the cover, produces technique oil spot.2.the loss of iron oxide red oxygen at higher temperature (1230 C) off form bubbles with part of iron oxide contributes to the technical production oil spot.

يعنى هذا البحث بدراسة استخدام أوكسيد الحديد الأحمر لانتاج تقنية (oil spot) في زجاج عالي الحرارة , فكان هدف البحث: هو انتاج تقنية (oil spot) من استخدام أوكسيد الحديد الأحمر في زجاج عالي الحرارة. وكانت إجراءات البحث , عمل برنامج حرق, وهذا البرنامج هو حرق الزجاج متعدد الطبقات المؤكسد (LG),وعلى ضوء هذا البرنامج ومن نتائج التجارب الاستطلاعية تم اختيار خلطات زجاج تبعاً لبرنامج الحرق وتم اضافة أوكسيد الحديد الأحمر(Fe2O3) الى خلطة الزجاج الاساس بنسبة (10%), واضافة صبغات التلوين الى خلطة الزجاج الغطاء بنسبة (10%) .أجرى الباحثان فحص التحليل اللوني وفق نظام (RGB) للنتائج باستخدام جهاز التحليل اللوني (Precise Color Reader). وأهم الاستنتاجات المستخلصة من البحث :-1.تطبيق طبقتين من الزجاج , الأساس منها يحتوي على أوكسيد الحديد الأحمر بدرجة حرارة أوطأ من الغطاء , ينتج تقنية (oil spot).2.إنٌ فقدان أوكسيد الحديد الأحمر الاوكسجين في درجة حرارة أعلى من (1230C) وخروجه على شكل فقاعات حاملة معها جزء من أوكسيد الحديد يساهم في انتاج تقنية (oil spot).

Effect of Pin Shape and Rotational Speed on the Mechanical Behaviour and Microstructures of Friction Stir Spot Welding of Aa6061 Aluminum Alloy

Abstract

Friction stir spot welding (FSSW) is a modern solid-state joining process able to weld similar and dissimilar overlap joints in different classes of materials and is widely being considered for automotive industry. In this work, the mechanical behavior ) i.e. tensile shear tests, Microhardness(, and microstructure of friction stir spot welded joints were studied for AA6061-T6 aluminum alloy sheets with thickness of 1.6 mm. Series of FSSW experiments were conducted using vertical CNC milling machine type "C-tek". FSSW is carried out at different pin profiles (cylindrical, taper, and triangular) and tool rotational typically speeds, i.e. 800, 1000, 1200 and 1400 rpm. Based on the welding experiments conducted in this study, the results show that sheets welded by triangular pin tool have highest tensile shear load, of 3.2 kN, followed by welds with cylindrical pin, while welds made using taper pin has the tensile shear load 2.1 kN at optimum speed of 1200 rpm. Also the pin shape and rotational speed had an obvious effect on microstructural parameters i.e. hook height and bond width.

اللحام بالخلط الاحتكاكي النقطي من طرق لحام الحالة الصلبة الحديثة قادرة على لحام وصلات التراكب متشابهة والمتباينة في أصناف مختلفة من المواد التي تستخدم بشكل واسع في صناعة السيارات. في هذا العمل,تم دراسة الخصاص المكانيكية (حمل قص الشد, الصلادة الدقيقة( والبنية المجهرية لوصلات صفائح سبيكة الألمنيوم A6061-T6 الملحومة بالخلط الاحتكاكي النقطي ذات سمك(1.6) ملم. تم تنفيذ التجارب بواسطة ماكنة تفريز عامودية نوع C-tek. تم اجراء اللحام الاحتكاكي النقطي لثلاث اشكال مختلفة لراس عدة اللحام مثلث ودائري ومخروطي وعند اربعة سرع دورانية عملية (800 , 1000, 1200 , 1400 دورة بالدقيقة). استنادا إلى التجارب التي أجريت في هذه الدراسة، أظهرت النتائج أن صفائح الملحومة بواسطة راس اداة اللحام ذات مثلثة الشكل لديها أعلى حمل لشد القص (3.2kN) تليها الصفائح المحلحومة بواسطه راس اداة اللحام اسطوانية الشكل,في حين حققت اللحامات باستخدام لراس عدة اللحام مخروطية الشكل ادنى حمل لشد القص(2.1kN) عند السرعة المثلى (1200 دورة في الدقيقة(. كذلك شكل راس اداة اللحام وسرعة الدوران لهما تأثير واضح على ارتفاع الخطاف وعرض الرباط.
