Abstract

The aim of this work is to improve pharmaceutical and therapeutic drugs to enable delivery to the right place, this format of carries for controlled delivery of therapeutic agent which could Release a small amount of drug over a long period of time, by graft copolymerization of methyl nadic anhydride (MNA) onto starch (M1) ,due to its biodegradable, not harmful, and slow digesting nature . It was carried out by using ceric ammonium nitrate (CAN) as an initiator, the graft copolymer was substituted with trimethoprim (M1C) as amino drug, the new prepared drug copolymer was characterized by FTIR, 1H-NMR and UV Spectroscopes. The physical properties were measured. The drug copolymers were prepared, analyzed in various pH values at (37 0C) as in vitro study and the release of controlled drugs was compared through many days analysis.

يهدف هذا العمل على تحسين الخاصية العلاجية للدواء لإيصاله الى المكان الصحيح، ان تصميم هذا البوليمر الحامل للدواء يستخدم لإيصال الدواء بحيث يحرر كمية منه بفترة زمنية أطول، من خلال تطعيم المثل نادك انهدريد على النشا M1, بالإضافة الى كونه غير سام، قابل للتحلل، وبطئ الهضم. وتم التطعيم باستخدام نترات سريك امونيوم كبادئ مولد للجذور الحرة على الهيكل البنائي للنشأ، والبوليمر المطعم المحظر تم تعويضه بالدواء الاميني مثل تريميثوبريم M1C، البوليمر الدوائي الجديد تم تشخيصه بواسطة طيف الرنين النووي المغناطيسي، طيف الاشعة تحت الحمراء، وكذلك بطيف الاشعة فوق البنفسجية. وقيست صفاته الفيزيائية، تم تحليل البوليمر الدوائي المحظر في اوساط حامضية مختلفة بدرجة حرارية (37) درجة مئوية خارج جسم الكائن الحي وسجلت كمية التحرر الدوائي عند الزمن صفر لحد 4 ايام .

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the specifications of cut back asphalt (S125) in order to use in the treatment of holes, potholes and cracks of roads. Different methods were carried out to enhance physical and mechanical properties and to get better construction behavior. These treatments are:-First: The vacuum distillation of S125 cut back asphalt was employed to remove oil, vacuum gas oil and vacuum residue as a rapid curing. FTIR spectra of the four fractions of S125 were recorded. It was observed a low penetration and high softening point for the vacuum residue.Second: extraction method using ethanol as a solvent was employed to extract light component that could be in the S125 cut back asphalt. The results indicated that the softening point was highly increased and the penetration as well as ductility was decreased to minimized level.Third: Some Polymers were used as cross linking agent such as melamine and phenol formaldehyde resins. Fourth: The unsaturated monomers were polymerized free radically to increase the solidification of S125. Fifth: The hydrated white cement was used as additive to the S125 cutback asphalt at different ratios to improve the properties. This method was observed as a suitable and economic method, and easy employed compared to others and the best rheological behaviors were given in this method. Also the vacuum distillation method gave high improvements in rheological properties for asphalt residue.
