Abstract

The information security is becoming more important in data storage and transmission, where images are widely used in it. The Stream cipher cryptosystems are extensively used for provide a reliable and efficient method of security. The new propose system image encryption investigated by encrypt the powerful frequency coefficients in DCT by used saturated best resilient Boolean function that constructed by Zhang's constructions that implement Maiorana-McFarland like constructions technique and its modifications. The simulation results of the proposal system calculate correlation test (Corr1) and PSNR1 to compare between original and encrypted image as parameter of robustness, and correlation test (Corr2) and PSNR2 as correlation parameter between original and decrypted image as parameter of quality in reconstruct image.

Abstract

The automated classification and matching of fingerprint images has been a challenging problem in pattern recognition over the past decades. This paper proposes a method to detect the rotation region based on Estimate Global Region (EGR) that has the maximum rotation region. The Gabor filter based feature is applied for extracting fingerprint features from gray level images without preprocessing. The fingerprint recognition is developed by neural networks with adaptive learning rate. The paper contains a comparison between using EGR algorithm and without using EGR. The Gabor filter without EGR gives the best result for the fingerprint recognition with outrotation while the rotation of the fingerprint with angles (5o,10o and 20o) gives worse results in fingerprint recognition. The proposalmethod gives best result in rotation the fingerprint image with and without the rotation of the same angles. The result of the correlation for the proposalmethod is 99%.

التصنيف الالي و مطابقة صورة بصمة الابهام في تمييز النماذج لا تزال مستمرة البحث من القرون الماضية. هذا البحث اقترح طريقةلكشف منطقة التدوير اعتمادا على EGR)) التي تحدد اكبر منطقة لتدوير بصمة الابهام. مرشح Gabor يطبق لاستخلاص صفات البصمة لصور المستوى الرمادي بدون معالجات اولية و لغرض التصنيف استخدمت الشبكة العصبية من النوع متعدد الطبقات ذات التعليم المتكيف. تضمن البحث مقارنة بين استخدام تخمين منطقة التدوير وبدون استخدام الخوارزمية وتبين من خلال النتائج ان استخدام مرشح Gaborبدون الخوارزمية يمطي نتائج ممتازة في تصنيف النماذج ولكن للحالات التي لا يحدث فيها تدوير للبصمة . اما اذا حدث تدوير للبصمة بزوايا 〖〖 20〗^° ,10〗^° 〖,5〗^°فان مرشحGabor سيعطي نتائج سيئة في التصنيف. الطريقة المقترحة اعطت نتائج ممتازة بوجود وبعدم وجود تدوير للبصمة و لنفس الزوايا للحالة السابقة . كما ان نتائج correlation للطريقة المقترحة كانت 99% .

Abstract

This paper investigates numerically and experimentally fluid flow and heat transfer inside the desktop P.C.. The study of cooling considers the components; CPU, heat sink, power supply, motherboard, CD, HDD and fans. Three components have heat source (CPU, motherboard and power supply unit). There were two openings for air inlet and two for air outlet. The tested values of air inlet velocities were 1.2, 1.8 and 2.4 m/s. The work investigates the effect of inlet air velocity and powers (PCPU = 8.5 W, PPSU = 24 W, PMO=12 W) of multi-components (CPU, motherboard and PSU). The numerical results obtained (by finite volume method CFD) are found in a good agreement with the experimental results. The results show that the highest temperature for CPU with block heat sink was 88.1℃ (PCPU = 8.5 W, PPSU = 24 W, PMO=12 W), the temperature of the heat generation components decreases linearly with increases of inlet air velocity. The CPU temperature increases with CPU power linearly. Motherboard temperature was the lowest one due to its position and area (52oC). Full details of flow field and temperature distribution are shown.

Abstract

Fingerprint-based recognition is one of the most important biometric technologies which have drawn a substantial amount of attention recently. This paper proposed a fingerprint recognition adopting a multilayer back propagation neural network as decision stage and using high pass filters (horizontal and vertical sub band the out from 2-D DWT) as estimation rotation region is first stage. The output of this stage is used as input to 1-D DWT (multi-order of low pass decomposition) as feature extraction for fingerprint. Next the normalization for each feature vector is performed to reduce the size of storage and increased the learning speed for the neural network. The evaluation tests were carried out on the proposed algorithm using a database of fingerprint images. A perfect results of recognition (99%) results was achieved by using correlation measurement. we identify the fingerprint by comparing the other fingerprint features with shift position and changed angle to the measurement of performances.

بصمات الأصابع على أساس التصنيف هي واحدة من تقنيات Biometric المهمة التي أثارت قدرا كبيرا من الاهتمام في الآونة الأخيرة. هذه البحث اقترح طريقة لتمييز البصمات باختيار الشبكة العصبية متعددة الطبقات كمرحلة للتمييز وكذلك استخدم مرشحات عالية التمرير (الأفقي والعمودية الخارجة من2D- DWT ) لتخمين منطقة التدوير كمرحلة الأولى. الناتج من هذه المرحلة يستخدم كمدخل إلى DWT 1D- (التحليل ألموجي المتكرر لمرشح الترددات المنخفضة ) وذلك لاستخلاص الميزات من البصمة وعندها يتم تنفيذ Normalization لكل ميزة لتقليل حجم التخزين وزيادة سرعة التعلم للشبكة العصبية. تم اجراء الاختبارات على الخوارزمية المقترحة باستخدام قاعدة بيانات لصور من بصمات الأصابع وتم تمييز النتائج بنسبة (99%) باستخدام مقياس Correlation وتمت المطابقة مع بصمات مع التغير بزوايا ومواقع مختلفة للبصمات.

Abstract

This study investigated numerically and experimentally fluid flow and heat transfer in the desktop PC. Three patterns of the positions of air inlet and outlet were tested to find the best one for cooling. The computer components in the present study are CPU, finned heat sink, power supply, motherboard, CD, HDD and fans. Three components which were generate heat are CPU, motherboard and power supply and there were two openings for air inlet and two for air outlet. The air inlet velocities were 1.2, 1.8, 2.4 m/s with constant CPU fan velocity. The studied parameters were the changed of inlet air velocity, powers of CPU, motherboard and PSU and the positions of inlet air. The numerical results obtained are found in a good agreement with the experimental results. The experimental results show that the maximum temperature was 81℃ at 16.5 W and 1.2 m/s. Numerical results showed that the CPU temperature reaches 89.6 ℃ at 18.5 W and 1.2 m/s. From the results, it was found that; the temperatures of the main components (PSU and motherboard) affected little by CPU power and vice versa, the finned heat sink has higher cooling efficiency and the pattern 1 was the best pattern for CPU cooling.
