Abstract

The stability of ionic liquid which makes it interest to study the photochemistry of hydrated ammonium aluminum sulfate NH4Al SO4)2.12H2O-urea CO NH2)2 sample to show photo degradation rate by FTIR spectra effect with different times which indicated a few influence irradiation the ionic liquid with increase time that indication stability of ionic liquids green chemistry).

Abstract

Four ionic liquids were investigated for abilities to capture CO2 alone or with added catalyst at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Hydrated aluminum nitrate Al (NO3)3.9H2O-urea with added CaO, hydrated ammonium aluminum sulfate NH4Al (SO4)2.12H2O-urea with added solid NaOH did not show in FTIR chart sign of either physical or chemical absorption of CO2, however hydrated ammonium aluminum sulfate NH4Al (SO4)2.12H2O-urea with added NaOHaq or few water showed a chemical absorption of CO2 at 1666 cm-1 as in aluminum chloride-urea ionic liquid while aluminum chloride-acetamide showed weaker or no ability to capture CO2.

تم دراسة اربعة انواع من السوائل الايونية لغرض دراسة قابليتها على امتصاص ثاني اوكسيد الكربون لوحدها او مع أضافة مواد محفزة كيميائيا عند درجة حرارة الغرفة والضغط الجوي. وقد وجد بأن السائل الايوني نترات الامونيوم الالمنيوم المائية – يوريا مع اضافة اوكسيد الكالسيوم او كبريتات الامونيوم الالمنيوم المائية – يوريا مع اضافة هيدروكسيد الصوديوم لم يظهر تغير في تحليل طيف الاشعة تحت الحمراء قد يشير الى وجود امتصاص ثاني اوكسيد الكربون بالطريقة الكيميائية او الفيزيائية. ولكن اظهر السائل الايوني كبريتات الامونيوم الالمنيوم المائية – يوريا مع اضافة هيدروكسيد الصوديوم المائي اظهر تغير في طيف الاشعة تحت الحمراء يشير الى وجود امتصاص كيمياوي لثاني اوكسيد الكربون. بالأضافة الى ذلك فقد وجد بأن السائل الايوني كلوريد الالمنيوم – يوريا ذو قابلية على امتصاص ثاني اوكسيد الكربون وقد اظهر طيف جديد عند 1655 cm-1 لطيف الاشعة تحت الحمراء. وكانت قابلية هذا السائل اكبر من قابلية السائل الايوني كلوريد الالمنيوم – اسيتامايد في قنص ثاني اوكسيد الكربون.

Abstract

Herein, we show the preparation and the characterization of new metal complexes by using a Schiff base ligand 2-[5-(Pyridin-2-ylmethylene)-amino] 1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl-phenol (L) with the metals Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II). This Schiff base ligand was synthesized via condensing [2-pyridine carboxaldehyde] with [2-amino-5-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol] in an alcoholic solution. For preparing complexes, two tetradentate Schiff bases ligand were employed with two metal ions of Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ as dinuclear formula M2L2. The synthesized ligand and its metal complexes were well characterized using FTIR, UV-Vis absorption, elemental analysis, thermal analysis, 1H-NMR, and mass spectroscopy. Based on these characterizations, the chemical structures of the ligand and the metal complexes were confirmed. Furthermore, the electronic and magnetic properties of the prepared metal complexes were clearly understood.

Abstract

Schiff base compound 5-(benzylideneamino)-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol was prepared from condensation reaction of 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole with benzaldehyde. Schiff bases react with Copper(ӀӀ), Ferric(ӀӀӀ), Cobalt(ӀӀ) and Zinc(ӀӀ) to form four complexes. The Schiff base complexes were identification by using FTIR and UV-VIS. The antibacterial activity of complexes (Copper(ӀӀ), Ferric(ӀӀӀ), Cobalt(ӀӀ) and Zinc(ӀӀ)) were studied against S. aureus and S . epidermidis as a model of Gram positive, E. coli, P. mirabilis, C. freundii and P. aeruginosa as a Gram negative model to determine activity of synthesized complexes, after subjected them to some tests to confirm the identity of the pathogenic bacteria. Ten antibiotics (Ampicillin and Amoxicillin) have been chosen to investigate the ability of bacterial isolates to resistant the conventional antibiotic. Imipenem have been selected to contrast its efficiency with those of the new compounds because of its high efficiency. The results exhibited higher activity of the new compounds proportional to the chosen antibiotics.

Abstract

New Schiff bases react with copper (II), Ferric (III), Cobalt (II) and Zinc (II) to form four complexes. The Schiff base complexes were identification by using FTIR and UV-VIS. The antibacterial activity of complexes (Copper (II) LM1, Ferric (III) LM2, Cobalt (II) LM3 and Zinc (II) LM4 complexes) were studied against Kocuria kristinae, Alloiococcus otiti and Aerococcus urinae as a model of Gram positive, Pseudomonas stutzeri, Ochrobactrum anthropic and Pantoea agglomerans as a model of Gram negative to determine the activity of synthesized complexes. Identification of these uncommon bacteria that isolated from urinary tract infection confirmed by using VITEK2 compact system. Several antibiotics have been chosen to investigate the ability of these isolates to resist the conventional antibiotic. The results showed higher activity of the new compounds relative to the chosen antibiotics.

تم تحضير مركب قاعة شيف 5-بينزيلادين امينو-1,3,4 ثاديازول-2-ثايول (5-(benzylideneamino)-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol) من تفاعل تكثيف 2- امينو-5 ميركابتو-1,3,4 ثاديازول 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole مع بينزالديهايد benzaldehyde. ولتكوين اربع معقدات جديدة تم تفاعل قواعد شيف الجديدة مع النحاس (II), الحديد (III)، الكوبلت (II) و الزنك (II). شخصت معقدات قاعدة شيف باستعمال جهاز محول الاشعة تحت الحمراء Fourier Transform-Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) و جهاز المطياف الضوئي (UV-VIS) V-visible spectroscopy. ولتحديد فعالية المعقدات المصنعة تم دراسة الفعالية البيولوجية للمعقدات (النحاس (II)LM1، الحديد (III) LM2، الكوبلت (II) LM3 و الزنك (II)LM4 ضد بكتريا Kocuria kristinae، Alloiococcus otit و Aerococcus urinae كنموذج للبكتريا الموجبة لصبغة غرام وبكتريا Pseudomonas stutzeri, Ochrobactrum anthropic و Pantoea agglomerans كنموذج للبكتريا السالبة لصبغة غرام. تم تأكيد تشخيص البكتريا الغير شائعة والمعزولة من التهابات المسالك البولية باستعمال جهاز الفايتك 2. اختيرت العديد من المضادات الحيوية للتحري عن قابلية تلك العزلات على مقاومة المضادات الحيوية التقليدية. وقد اظهرت النتائج فعالية عالية للمركبات الجديدة مقارنة بالمضادات الحيوية المنتخبة.

Abstract

New metallic liquid crystalline polyphosphates showed thermotropic nematic liquid crystal phases (2.13–2.24 eV). The surface morphology of polyphosphates was examined by the scanning electron microscope and showed rough surface and micro pore structure which an indication of the presence of several crystalline domains.
