Abstract

The optimization problems usually need specific techniques to solve, therefore many approaches and methods were proposed to solved such problems, but there are many difficulties (limitations) still faced the problem solvers such as how to reach the solution (or solutions) with high performance and efficiency or with more accuracy results or with suitable behavior. Thus the artificial intelligence tools are considered the best tools that can be used to solve the optimization problems, because the AI tools must decide two importantaims: the problem reduction and the guarantee of solutions which lead to less the effect of the difficulties (limitations) and give more suitable criteria in performance, efficiency, and behavior. The swarm intelligent techniques are considered the most modern AI techniques which contains many approaches that are used to solve optimization problems with high performance and efficiency and suitable behaviorIn this paper a specific study is made to the behavior of the swarm intelligence techniques and evaluates its performance to solve various problems, then there is a presentation to a scientific comparative section in which many approaches is presented that used different swarm intelligence techniques such as Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Bees Algorithm (BA), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to solve various optimization problems and them make a comparison among them interm of behavior and performance. Finally we reach to scientific discussion and conclusions that distinguish among the presented approaches to prove that the swarm intelligence techniques success in solving practical, important, and applicable problems with high performance, efficiency, and special behavior.

Abstract

In the last years the electronic networks were used in several practical field of life. The mobile networks is considered one of the important and powerful type of these networks, that have wide area of using in the electronic life, such as financial application, electronic learning, remotely management and basic role in information management field. In this paper a new system is proposed that can work to protect the customer information in the mobile devices and manage it through network server. The idea is based on design and builds a system for information management especially to each customer (such as bank system), and then display this information on the customer mobile device after an authorized connection with the manager of the system database and request the information. The customer information must be secure enough, therefore one of the proposed system tasks is to protect the information of each customer, this task is done by using a block cipher method(DES). The proposed system provides another task that is the basic operations which the manager of the system database can do such as add, delete, update, and so on. The system is implemented by using VS.net with a database of type .sdf which is especially used in the mobile applications and implement it in the HTC(High toxicity clastogens) smart phone mobile.

Abstract

With the tremendous growth of information in the web, the classic query processing approaches are unable to respond to queries in real time. The aim of this paper is to develop an innovative tool using swarm intelligence to address information retrieval in the context of response time and solution quality through cope with the complexity induced by that huge volume of information. In this paper, we will show that our proposed approach that use of Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm called MABC can be another alternative to palliate the complexity issue in terms of response time while it produces a solution quality is relatively convergent or even better. Experimental tests have been conducted on two well-known CACM and NPL collections. Both are different in size, CACM is small while NPL is relatively large. Numerical results exhibit the superiority and the benefit gained from using the MABC approach instead of the classic approaches.

نتيجة للتزايد الهائل بالمعلومات الموجودة في الويب فان طرق معالجة الاستفسار التقليدية لم تعد قادرة على الاستجابة في الوقت الفعلي. الهدف من هذا البحث هو ايجاد طريقة بديلة باستخدام احدى خوارزميات التحشد الذكية لمعالجة استرجاع المعلومات في إطار الوقت اللازم لاجابة الاستفسار وجودة المعلومات من خلال التصدي للتعقيد الحاصل في الحجم الهائل في المعلومات. نحن سنبين في هذا البحث بان طريقتنا المقترحة التي تستخدم طريقة " مستعمرة النحل الاصطناعية" والتي تدعى "MABC" يمكن ان تكون بديلا عن الطرق التقليدية لتخفيف هذا التعقيد على صعيد الوقت اللازم لاستجابة الاستفسار بينما تنتج نوعية اجابة للمستخدم تكون متقاربة نسبيا مع الطرق التقليدية او حتى افضل منها . الاختبارات التجريبية تمت على مدونتين معروفة جيدا احدهما صغيرة هي " CACM" والاخرى كبيرة نسبيا هي "NPL". النتائج الرقمية تبين التفوق والربح الحاصل للطريقة المقترحة على الطرق التقليدية.

Abstract

Every company or institution in the world has huge amounts of raw data. Since, we are living now in the era of data and data explosion, data is generated in an alarming rates. AstheBig Data problem emerges, big data cannot be processed by traditional systems due to its huge size, complexity and rapid generation, and since data became the most important element in the business world to drive companies and institutions in the right direction. Business Intelligence Systems are built to serve that purpose. This paper introduces a system that will implement a Business Intelligence techniqueto handle Big Data problem through HadoopFramework benefiting from its functionalitiesto provide a parallel processing environmentby implementing a cluster of three nodes that will hold the data set and running queries on it in parallel using the functionality of MapReduce algorithm. The system consists of four primary stages: first is the stage of loading the data into the cluster, second is the stage of constructing the data warehouse to become the source layer for the data analysis stage to extract the business insights. Thethird stage analyzes the data and answers the business problems.Finallythe fourth stage isthe data visualization stage where the answers that gathered from the previous stage will take the form of visual charts and graphs that will be contained in a unified business intelligence dashboard that will provide the overall look for the business operations.

Abstract

In this paper, an improvement approach of Hough transform for tables detection and extraction from scanned document images is achieved as one of the main stages in document recognition to recognize between original and faked documents. The improvements fundamentally originate from the modulation of the standard Hough transform (SHT)parameter selection, peak threshold and voting scheme. Peakvalues formed by noise edges are thus lowered compared with those formed by clear edges. Experimental results show the proposed method leads to significant suppression of false peaks in Hough space and is thus effective. The parameters can be determined empirically in advance, which their advantage to use the proposed method in fully automated lines detection applications.

Abstract

Knowledge is an important factor in conduct individual’s life and decision-making process, so decision’s efficiency and power is dependent on knowledge deepen which is possess by individual. The aim of this paper is to build an improved intelligent web application system to provide web service which upgrades and raises knowledge level to wisdom level by aggregate knowledge with experience. The web service is implemented by using the brokerage approach through agent-based knowledge broker web service system, and it related to pre-define field. Java Agent DEvelopment (JADE) platform is used in this system to provide the demand environment for knowledge broker agent to achieve its behaviors. Practical testing by submitting different query belong to the medical field (radiography) demonstrate the system efficiency in retrieving knowledge relevant to submitted query and provide level of knowledge upgraded to wisdom to sustain and support specialist users’ capabilities in making decisions reach wise decisions level.

Abstract

One of the important requirements in the object detection and tracking is the extracting of efficient features to trackthe target in video sequence. The feature of colour in image is one of the most visual features widely used. The using ofcolour histogram is the most popular method for representing color feature. One of the problems of using colour histogram to represent feature is its lack of spatial information where it is used to represents statistical distribution of the coloursonly. In this paper a new similarity metric with multi block colour histogram of image is proposed. This metric will be used by an object tracking method where the similarity will be applied to get a decision of choosing the correct solution (location) of the object from many candidate locations

Abstract

In this paper an improvementon the harmony filter is done by adding the Kalman filter after the improvisation process, toguide the filter to reach the convergence state at the lowest possible number of iterations, which means more ability for tracking the moving objects in real time performance, which is a crucial factor in the multi object tracking applications.

Abstract

Meerkat Clan Algorithm (MCA) that is a swarm intelligence algorithm resulting from watchful observation of the Meerkat (Suricata suricatta) in the Kalahari Desert in southern Africa. Meerkat has some behaviour. Sentry, foraging, and baby-sitter are the behaviour used to build this algorithm through dividing the solution sets into two sets, all the operations are performed on the foraging set. The sentry presents the best solution. The Flexible Job Shop Scheduling Problem (FJSSP) is vital in the two fields of generation administration and combinatorial advancement. In any case, it is very hard to accomplish an ideal answer for this problem with customary streamlining approaches attributable to the high computational unpredictability. Most scheduling problem are mind boggling combinatorial problem and exceptionally hard to settle. The experimental result that compare with Cuckoo Search algorithm, Artificial Fish Search Algorithm, and Camel Herd Algorithm show that the MCA can find optimal solution because it provides a good strategy.

Abstract

This work presents a proposed approach to extract depth map of stereoscopic images depended on segmentation of lightness values of pixels ‘L’ using adaptive K-Means cluster. The proposed approach finds the disparity map of segmentation lightness pixels and refines those segment by using morphological filtering and connected components analysis. Experimental results from Middlebury dataset show that the proposed approach performs good results in term of accurate depth and time consuming compared with classical Sum of Absolute Difference (SAD) approach and SAD with Gradient Difference (GRAD) algorithm.

إن هذا العمل يمثل خوارزمية مقترحة الى استخلاص عمق الصورة بالنسبة للصور Stereoscopic اعتمادا على تقطيع النقاط المضيئة باستخدام خوارزمية Adaptive K-Means . حيث تم ايجاد خريطة التباين لتقطيع النقاط المضيئة وتحسين هذه القطع باستخدام morphological filter وتحليل المكونات المترابطة .حيث اثبتت النتائج باستخدام Middlebury Dataset ان الخوارزمية المستخدمة تعطي نتائج جيدة بمصطلح العمق الدقيق للصورة والوقت المستغرق للتنفيذ مقارنة مع طريقة SAD التقليدية وطريقة SAD with GRAD algorithm
