Abstract

Abstract: In this paper new algorithm for speeding up fractal image compression is presented. A new adapted method based on computing the highest value of the pixel of the image to reduce the computational complexity in the encoder stage and which are led to decreasing the encoding time while the reconstructed image from the work as good as we want. For increasing the effectiveness of search stage we used another type of partitioning method that led to increase the flexibility of range partition, this method is HV-partition. We applied this method on images and also present a comparison of this method against other method which used to speed the fractal compression.

الخلاصة: تم تطبيق خوارزمية جديدة لتسريع الضغط الكسوري للصور باستخدام طريقة جديدة تعتمد على حساب اعلى قيمة للبكسل للصورة لتقليل التعقيد في الحسابات في مرحلة الضغط والذي بدورة يقود الى تقليل وقت الضغط اثناء اعادة تركيب الصورة بالوضع الجديد .تم استخدام التقطيع الافقي العمودي لزيادة فعالية البحث والتي تؤدي الى زيادةالمرونة في التقطيع للصورة والذي اثبت بدورة زيادة في تسريع الضغط.

Abstract

In the present paper, a comparisonbetween classical masks and (odd and even)masks groups for Mycosis Fungoides diseaseSkin image edges detection is performed.The goal is to extract the information known inthe image because it is vital to understand theimage content as the proposed approach is thecomparative edge by masks classical and a newset of Groups masks (odd and even ) whichconsist of 10 masks. The database consists of40 images reprints different stage of theMycosis Fungoides disease Skin images 10images for each stage. The experimental resultsconfirm the effectiveness of the proposedsystem. and confirm the effectiveness of theproposed(odd and even) Groups masks.

Abstract

In the present paper, an importantmathematical transform which is calledGabor transform be used to develop amethod for image compression. Gabortransform is a type of wavelet-basedtransform. It is embedded in the standardcompression algorithm (JPEG2000) as amother wavelet. Based on the obtainedresults we believe that Gabor wavelettransform can provide the optimal resolutionin both the time and frequency domains, aswell as it seems to be the optimal basis toextract local features such as discontinuities.These advantages of Gabor wavelettransform make it an efficient transform forcompression. The proposed compressionsystem is a new approach that achieves ahigh compression ratio with acceptablevisual quality by exploiting the advantagesof Gabor wavelets .The simulation resultsshow that the proposed model gives a goodcompression images that could becompetitive to JPEG2000 using Haarwavelet.
