Abstract

The present work the structure properties of nano Lead sulfide PbS thin films were studied. Thin samples were prepared by pulse laser deposition and deposited on glass substrate at 1064nm wavelength with 800mj laser energy. The structure properties of films were determined by X-ray diffraction studied the effect of variation of substrate temperature on these properties. The films are adherent to the substrate and well crystallized according to the centered cubic structure with the preferential orientation (111) and (200). The minimum value of grain size was 16.5 nm when the film deposited of at 70 oC substrate temperature. The optical investigation showed that, depending on the substrate temperature have direct allowed transitions in the range 1.55–2.45 eV.

في هذا البحث تم دراسة الخصائص التركيبية لاغشية كبريتيد الرصاص النانوية. تم تحضير تلك الاغشية باستخدام تقنية الترسيب بالليزر باستخدام ليزر ذو طول موجي يساوي 1064 نانومتر وبطاقة ليزر تساوي 800 ملي جول. تم دراسة حيود الاشعة السينية ودراسة تاثير تغير درجة حرارة القاعدة على الخصائص التركيبيةوقد لوحظ ان الغشاء المتكون من النوع المتعدد البلوري والطور السائد هو المستوي (111) و(200). ان اقل حجم حبيبي تم الحصول عليه كان 16.5 نانومتر عند درجة حرارة للقاعدة 70 درجة سيليزية. اما الخصائص البصرية تم دراستها ودراسة تاثير تغير درجة حرارة القاعدة عليها, فوجد امتلاكها انتفالات مباشرة ضمن المدى 1.55 الى 2.45 الكترون. فولت.

Abstract

Using laser in modifying the surfaces of various materials is an important topic in the present time. The type of alloy used in this investigation was 6009Al alloy. Laser has been used as inhibitor to reduce the corrosion rate by using Q-switching Nd: YAG Laser (with changing energy of laser and fixing other parameters) under laser shock peening (LSP) technique for 6009 AA in hydrochloric acid with concentration of 1 M and the immersion time of 30 minutes at room temperature. The corrosion rate was calculated by using the polarization method. The corrosion rate decreased from (0.366 to 0.016) mm/yr before and after using LSP, respectively. Therefore, this study aims to reduce the corrosion rate that occurs in 6009 Al alloy.

Abstract

Nanocrystalline PbS thin films have been deposited on glass substrates by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD) technique using lead acetate ,KoH, thiourea and T.E.A. The films were btained in a reaction bath at times of (15 ,30 ,45 ,60 and 90)min. Structure and surface morphology of thin films were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). XRD indicates that the films have cubic structure. The crystallite size of the films were found to vary from (4.9 to 11.3 nm).The band gaps of the nanocrystalline PbS were determined from UV-Vis spectrophotometer and were found to be in the range( 1.72 -2.4 eV).

تم ترسيب غشاء نانوي من كبريتيد الرصاص على قواعد زجاجية بتقنية الترسيب بالحمام الكيمياوي من خلال استخدام خلات الرصاص,هيدروكسيد البوتاسيوم,الثايوريا,وتراي ايثانول امين.تم الحصول على الاغشية بغمرها بالحمام بازمان مختلفة (15,30,45,60,90) دقيقة. كما وشخصت الخصائص التركيبية وتصوير السطح من خلال فحص حيود الاشعة السينية والمجهر الالكتروني الماسح. بين فحص حيود الاشعة السينية ان الاغشية لها تركيب بلوري مكعب وحجم بلوري قليل يتراوح ما بين (11.3-4.9) نانومتر.اما بالنسبة لفجوة الطاقة فتم حسابها من خلال جهاز المطياف للمنطقتين المرئية وفوق البنفسجية ووجد انها تتراوح ما بين (2.4-1.72) الكترون فولت.

Abstract

In this research, pulsed Nd:YAG laser with wavelength of 532nm and pulse duration of 100ns at different energies (700, 800, 900 and 1000 mJ) and spot size of 1.5 mm was used to treat surfaces of different aluminum alloys. These alloys are [Al-Cu-Mg], [Al-Mg-Mn] and [AL-Zn-Mg] and [Al-Si-Mg]. The effects of laser energy on the microhardness and tensile measurements of the used aluminum alloys were studied.

Abstract

This work demonstrates the simulation of two different types of optical fiber amplifiers (OFA) utilizing OptiSystem–10, namely, 3 m length of erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) and 7 km length of Raman fiber amplifier (RFA). The counter-pumped architecture is adopted for both proposed optical amplifiers. The optimum pump power (OPP) for each amplifier determines in which the longest 3–dB flat gain bandwidth (3–dB BW), reasonable average gain level (Gav), proper average noise figure (NFav) and lower gain variation (Gvar) were achieved. The EDFA shows best performance at conventional band (C–band) within the pump power of 30 mW.While the better performance is observed at long band (L–band) within the pump power of 600 mW for the RFA.
