Algeria, was a state of the colony, so, it was exposed to plunder the manuscript. the article deals with the reality of the Algerian manuscripts and legal protection in peace and war.

يعدّ الحفاظ على المخطوط حفاظ على الهوية الوطنية و وسيلة لكتابة التاريخ، لذا تسعى الدول للحفاظ عليه، عن طريق مجموعة وضع القواعد القانونية التي تجرم الاعتداء عليه وكذلك وضع آليات قانونية دولية و وطنية. والجزائر باعتبارها كانت دولة مستعمرة فقد تعرضت لنهب مخطوطاتها، يعالج المقال واقع المخطوطات الجزائرية و الحماية القانونية لها في السلم والحرب.
