Abstract

Photo-ions of rubidium were generated due to the interaction of effusive Rbatomic beam with the C.W. UV lamp of 2.5 KW power. The photo-ions isotopicof (Rb85 & Rb87 ) were extracted and analyzed by a quadruple mass filter. Themeasured photo-ion current was 28 x 10-13 Amp.

تم توليد أيونات الربيديوم بطريقة التأين الضوئي بأستخدام مصباح ضوئي في المنطقة الفوقالبنفسجية وبقدرة 2.5 كيلو واط. كما سجل الطيف للأيونات الناتجة من التأين الضوئي بأستخداموحسب النسب الطبيعية. (Rb و 87 Rb مطياف الكتلة حيث يتضح فيها نظيري الربيديوم ( 8528 امبير. x10- وتم قياس التيار الايوني في حدود 13

Abstract

The study involved the extraction of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) from 71 samples of random G6PD patients and 85 samples apparently healthy individuals from different Iraqi populations respectively, which was then amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and later subjected to digestion by restriction enzymes (Nla III and Fok I) to create restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) to enable the detection of mutation that caused G6PD deficiency namely A and A-. The results of the current study showed that Iraqis were affected by G6PD deficiency in a percentage 7.2% and showed that the affected cases were attributed to A mutation in 4.2% while 0% was recorded for A- mutation.

تضمنت الدراسة إستخلاص الدنا من 71 عينة مصابة سرسرياً بنقص نازع هيدروجين الكلوكوز-6-فوسفات (G6PD) و 85 حالة من الاصحاء ظاهرياً ثم أخضعت هذه العينات لتفاعل التضاعف التسلسلي ((PCR بعدها تم إستعمال احد الطرق المعتمدة (RFLP) وذلك باستعمال انزيمات قاطعة (Nla III and Fok I ) للكشف عن الطفرتين قيد الدراسة. بينت نتائج الدراسة الحالية إن نسبة الإصابة بمرض نقص نازع هيدروجين الكلوكوز-6-فوسفات في العراق هي 7.2% وان الطفرة نوع A قد تسببت ب 4.2% من مجمل حالات الإصابة في حين لم تسجل أي إصابة بالطفرة من نوع A-.

Abstract

Security has become an important issue for networks. Intrusion detection technology is an effective approach in dealing with the problems of network security. In this paper, we present an intrusion detection model based on PCA and MLP. The key idea is to take advantage of different feature of NSL-KDD data set and choose the best feature of data, and using neural network for classification of intrusion detection. The new model has ability to recognize an attack from normal connections. Training and testing data were obtained from the complete NSL-KDD intrusion detection evaluation data set.

أصبحت السرية قضية مهمة في الشبكات والاتصالات. تقنيات كشف التطفل هو فرع فعال في التعامل مع مشكلة سرية الشبكات والانترنيت. في هذا البحث تم تقديم نموذج من كشف التطفل بالاعتماد على تقنية (PCA) وعلى شبكة (MLP). الفكرة الأساسية هي في اخذ أفضل حقول من بيانات كشف التطفل المعتمدة (NSL-KDD) من مجموعة حقول مختلفة واستخدام الشبكات العصبية للتصنيف في نظام كشف التطفل. النموذج الجديد له القدرة على تمييز الاتصالات المصابة من الاتصالات السليمة. تم اخذ بيانات التدريب والاختبار من البيانات المعتمدة (NSL-KDD) كاملة.

Abstract

Background: As tuberculosis (TB) is still endemic disease in Iraq, efforts in detection, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention are of utmost importance to decrease the prevalence and negative impacts of this disease on people. In this study we aim to find out the extent of contribution of the private health sector in, Missan governorate to the detection of cases of tuberculosis and referring them to the Chest and Respiratory Disease Clinic in Missan for further management. Collaboration between the private and public health sectors is crucial for early detection, treatment, and cure of tuberculosis and consequently decrease in its prevalence and transmission to other people.Patients and methods: Records of patients managed by the Chest and Respiratory Disease Clinic in Missan, for the period between 2012-2014 were reviewed. The above mentioned clinic deals with all cases any different types of tuberculosis. All cases, and of different types of tuberculosis, were enrolled in the study. Particular concern to the source of referral of these cases was considered. Other parameters such as, type of tuberculosis, whether it is newly or previously diagnosed, and the results of the sputum test for acid-fast bacilli. (AFB) were considered.Results: 752 patients with tuberculosis were diagnosed and managed by the Chest and Respiratory Disease Clinic in Missan for the period between 2012-2014, considerable number of these patients (44.4%) was detected and referred to the TB Center by the physicians in the private health sector. Private health sector had more contribution to detection of extrapulmonary tuberculosis than the public health centers.Conclusion: The private health sector in Missan governorate has an important role in detection of cases, mostly newly diagnosed cases, of tuberculosis. So collaboration between governmental health faculties and private health sector is essential for effective detection and management of cases of tuberculosis to decrease its prevalence and negative impacts on the public health.

من خلال دراسة (752) حالة من حالات التدرن التي تم تشخيصها في العيادة الاستشارية لأمراض الصدرية والتنفسية في محافظة ميسان، (تعنى هذه العيادة بالتعامل مع حالات التدرن بمختلف انواعه داخل وخارج الرئة) للسنوات 2012- 2014، تم ولأول مرة، إلقاء الضوء على دور القطاع الصحي الخاص متمثلا بعيادات الأطباء والمختبرات الخاصة في اكتشاف ومتابعة حالات التدرن في المحافظة. أظهرت الدراسة دورا واضحا وفاعلا للقطاع الصحي الخاص في المحافظة في هذا الخصوص حيث بلغت نسبة الحالات المشخصة والمحالة من قبل الأطباء في عياداتهم أو مختبراتهم الخاصة إلى العيادة المذكورة أعلاه 44.4% من مجموع حالات التدرن التي تم تشخيصها ، كما أن 58.1 % من مجموع حالات التدرن خارج الرئة كانت قد تم اكتشافها من قبل الأطباء في القطاع الصحي الخاص.

Abstract

Abstract-There are many types of indicators that have been proven to be usefulclues for deceptive detection techniques, and most of this indicators that havebeen presented and proven by psychology to be signs of lying. This paperpresents a survey of most popular deceptive detection systems. Manytechniques for lie detection have been presented by researchers; most of themare reviewed in this paper. This study focus on the algorithms, which arepresented in some pervious work, and how the database has been collected foreach technique, furthermore explain the adopted cues for each deceptiondetection technique. The accuracy of each proposed technique is included inthis paper, then this study shows the advantage and disadvantages for eachdeception system with the useful and robust cues here.

Abstract

In this work, a mathematical treatment for the quantum limit of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in homodyne coherent detection was presented. This treatment is based on the case of balanced detection when the incident signal power is much lesser than the local oscillator power when the efficient AC coupling is assumed. The final results were obtained from an analytical expression of SNR dependent of the average number of incident photons and the quantum efficiency.

Abstract

In this paper, in first stage Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is introduced to tackle the image edge detection problem, where the aim is to extract the edge information presented in the image, since it is crucial to understand the image’s content. The second stage .A.H. SH Quintet mask Appling for same images to find edge detection. The proposed approach exploits a number of ants, which move on the image driven by the local variation of the image’s intensity values, to establish a pheromone matrix, which represents the edge information at each pixel location for Mycosis Fungoides Skin image Edge detection is proposed.The third stage compare between first and second stage for Mycosis Fungoides disease. The Skin image have been identified and the edges of the images used for each and every stages that the database consists of 40 images divided each stage of the Mycosis Fungoides disease Skin image 10 images. For each stage a novel algorithm which combines pixel and region based color segmentation techniques is used. The experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms

Abstract

Traffic Road-Signs contain useful information for the road users; the operation of many of modern applications like the automatic or smart vehicle requires an automatic discrimination of the texts of the traffic road-sign. Discrimination of text compose of several stages, the first of these stages is detection and extraction of the texts. In this work, an algorithm is developed to detect, locate, and segment of the texts and the word in the video clips, that existing in the road signs in the city of Baghdad. The proposed approach includes two stages, the first one is processing the image to locate and extract images of the road-sign and neglect the rest of the image, and the second stage is processing the image of the road-sign plate to detect and extract the texts without symbols and shapes. The basic structure of the algorithm depends on the following functions: edge-detector, dilation, and filling-hole, morphological-opening. The total recall values of 89%, the total precision value of 93%.The algorithm is, then, tested based on video clips, implementation of the algorithm based on video clips confirms its ability to detect the texts which may appear in the video scenes, recall-rate(r) is excellent with a total value of 94.5% and a total precision value of 86.5%.The algorithm is tested to measure its validity to work under real-time operation, by processing one frame and exceed a set of next frames, the test appears that the algorithm is able to work under real-time operation with recall-rate(r) of(93%).

Abstract

Biological image edge detection preserving the important structural properties in an image. Detecting accurate edges are very important for analyzing the basic properties associated with a biological image. Gradient operator plays very important role in edge detection. In this paper the images had been using are color biological images taken from microbiology laboratory at the biological department college of science Al-MustansiriyhUniversity and the effect of gradient operation have applied on around 10 different biological color images but view only two. In our proposed approach comparative of various gradient of biological image include (gradient of image, gradient of image using first order derivative edge detection (Soble,Prewitt,Roberts)and gradient image using morphological operation and The comparative output images using quality assessment include (MSR, PNSR, l2rat, maxerr, entropy). The software tool that has been used is MATLAB 7.0 from the results we found that morphological and Robert gradient edge detection algorithm better performs than the others and are important with extraction features of biologic images.

الكشف عن حافة الصور البيولوجية للحفاظ على خصائص هيكلية هامة في الصورة وكشف الحواف عملية دقيقة ومهمة لتحليل الخصائص الأساسيةالمرتبطة بالصور مشغل التدرج يلعب دوراهاما جدا في الكشف عن الحافة.في هذه البحث الصور التي تم استخدامهاعبارة عن صور البيولوجية ملونة مأخوذة من مختبر الاحياء المجهرية في قسم علوم الحياة كلية العلوم الجامعة المستنصرية تأثيرعملية التدرج طبقت على ىحوعشرة من الصور البيولوجية الملونة ولكن عرض اثنين فقط في بحثنا المقترح تم مقارنة انواع التدرج مختلفة على الصور البيولوجية وتشمل(التدرج من الصورة،والتدرج من الصورةباستخدام مشقة الدرجة الاولى لكشف الحواف باستخدام (سوبل ,بروت, روبرت) وعملية التشكيل الرياضي اداة لبرامجيات التي تم استخدامها هي ماتلاب. مقارنة الصور الانتاجة باستخدام تقييم الجودة وشملت (MSR, PNSR, l2rat,maxerr, entropy) من النتائج وجدنا ان التدرج باستخدام روبرت والتشكيل الرياضي أفضل من الآخرين،ومهم في استخراج مميزات الصور البيولوجية.
