Abstract

Steganography is a useful technique that helps in securing data in communication using different data carriers like audio, video, image and text. The most popular type of steganography is image steganography. It mostly uses least significant bit (LSB) technique to hide the data but the probability of detecting the hidden data using this technique is high. RGB is a color model which uses LSB to hide the data in three color channels, where each pixel is represented by three bytes to indicate the intensity of red, green and blue in that pixel. In this paper, steganography based RGB image is proposed which depends on genetic algorithm (GA). GA is used to generate random key that represents the best ordering of secret (image/text) blocks to be hiding in the cover image. Experimental results, obtained from different experimental tests, show that our proposed system proves to be more efficient than another steganography technique presented in literature and in comparison with the original cover image in terms of fidelity criteria and degradation quality of the stego_image

Abstract

Transposition ciphers are a class of historical encryption algorithms based on rearranging unitsof plaintext according to some fixed permutation which acts as the secret key. This paper presents anew investigation for cryptanalysis transposition cipher based on Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO). PSO is utilized for the automatic recovery of the key, and hence the plaintext, from only thecipher text. Based upon a mathematical model of the social interactions of swarms, the algorithmhas been shown to be effective at finding good solutions. Experimental results show the ability ofPSO in finding the correct secret key which is used to recover the plaintext.

Abstract

This article presents a novel optimization algorithm inspired by camel traveling behavior that called Camel algorithm (CA). Camel is one of the extraordinary animals with many distinguish characters that allow it to withstand the severer desert environment. The Camel algorithm used to find the optimal solution for several different benchmark test functions. The results of CA and the results of GA and PSO algorithms are experimentally compared. The results indicate that the promising search ability of camel algorithm is useful, produce good results and outperform the others for different test functions.

Abstract

AbstractThis work demonstrates the application of Artificial Immunized System (AIS) in designing on-line the parameters of the Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) for SISO plant. The AIS is used in creating the adaptive critics which represent the matrix parameters in the solution of the Riccati equation of the LQR. It is found that the AIS possess promising features to deal on-line with the plant parameter variations and reflect acceptable regulating and tracking characteristics. Key words: Artificial Immunized System, Evolutionary Algorithms, Adaptive Systems, Linear Quadratic Regulator.

المستخلصيوضح هذا العمل تطبيق نظام المناعة الاصطناعي (AIS) في التصميم الأني لمتغيرات المنظم الخطي المتعامد (LQR) لنظام ذو إدخال واحد وإخراج واحد (SISO). يستخدم نظام المناعة الاصطناعي (AIS) في تكوين النقاد التكيفي والذي يمثل عناصر المصفوفة الموجودة في حل معادلة Riccati للمنظم الخطي المتعامد . ووجد بأن نظام المناعة الاصطناعي يمتلك ملامح واعدة للتعامل الاني مع متغيرات النظام ويعكس خواص تنظيم و تتبع مقبولة.الكلمات الدالة: نظام المناعة الاصطناعي ، الخوارزميات التطورية، النظام المتكيف، المنظم الخطي المتعامد.
