Abstract

The effect of three dietary regimes: - high fat ((1-If), low protein (Lp), and High. fat low protein(HfLp) was studied on 3 groups of 21 days old Balb/c mice .A fourth group received balanced diet as' control (C). histological pictures of large intestine (colon) was examined after 3,6,l2 weeks afterweaning time (day 0) ofexperiment .body weight was determined on weekly bases for the four groups.Significant differences were detected amongmeans of body weights ofexperimental animals incomparison with control group as following: - Hf>C>HfLp>LP.— ' - Profound histological changes of colon were observed specially in the Hflp group in process oftime. Significant differences in numbers of goblet cells and thickness ofthe adventitial layer of colonwas detected, the numbers of goblet cells were reduced in LP group, while their numbers increased inHf group.

Abstract

This study aims at investigating the Quranic words which are formed using the metrical unit “fa’aala”. It is well-known that understanding semantics in Quran is based upon understanding the connotation of its lexical items in addition to the structures used in it. The current study also enriches the Quranic and linguistic studies.The significance of this study lies in the fact that it locates the words which are formed using the metrical unit “fa’aala” then reveals the semantic and morphological meanings of this group of words. It also sheds light on some linguistic phenomena that are usually related to such kind of studies. The study throws light on the role of context in determining the semantic meaning, regarding attentively both synonymy and polysemy and referring to some examples of collocation.Furthermore; the study clarifies the role of the Quranic Qira’at (methods of recitation) in widening the Quranic connotative meaning by studying some of the Qira’at of these words.

تعنى هذه الدراسة ببحث الكلمات التي وردت في القرآن الكريم على صيغة (فَعالة)، وتدرسها دراسة صرفية دلالية، ومن المعلوم أن فهم الدلالة القرآنية يقوم على فهم دلالة ألفاظه والصيغ التي استعملها، كما أن هذه الدراسات تثري الدراسات اللغوية والقرآنية.وتتجلى أهمية الدراسة في أنها قامت بحصر الكلمات التي وردت على وزن فَعالة في القرآن، ثم كشف اللثام عن المعاني الدلالية والصرفية لهذه المجموعة من الكلمات، مع إلقاء الضوء على بعض الظواهر اللغوية التي لا تنفك عن مثل هذه الدراسات غالبا، فتلقي الضوء على دور السياق في تحديد الدلالة، ورصد ظاهرة الترادف والمشترك، وكذلك الإشارة إلى بعض المصاحبات اللغوية. إضافة إلى ذلك قامت الدراسة ببيان دور القراءات القرآنية في توسيع الدلالة القرآنية، وذلك من خلال دراسة بعض القراءات الواردة في هذه الكلمات.

Abstract

Abstract- Microprocessor has been considered as most important part inICs manufacturing and making progress since more than 50 years, soincreasing microprocessor speed is paid attention in all technologies. ALUis known as the slowest part in microprocessor because of the ripple carry,nowadays microprocessor uses 8-uints as pipeline, each one has 8-bits forimplementing 64-bit, working in this form has been captured themicroprocessor development and limited its speed for all its computations.Parallel processing and high speed ICs always trying to increase this speedbut unfortunately it remains limited. The contemporary solution forincreasing microprocessors speed is the Multiple Valued Logic (MVL)technology that will reduce the 8-bits to 4-qbits, this paper proposes a newdesign of a 2-qbit full adder (FA) as a basic unit to implement MVL ALU(AMLU) that has 8-units as pipeline, each one consists of 4-qbits toimplement 32-qbit which is equivalent to 64-bit, without applying binary toquaternary conversion and vice versa. The proposed design increasesmicroprocessors speed up to 1.65 times, but also a little increase ofimplementation

Abstract

Background: The use of the chest x-ray measurements which includes the cardiothoracic ratio(C-T) and frontal area (FA) of the heart by the CXR are useful measures for primary assessment of the cardiac dysfunction.
Patients and Methods: A Prospective study was done from the 1st of January 2005 to the 1st of October in the same year on a 120 consecutive patients who have been admitted for coronary and L.V angiogram at IBN-AL-BITAR hospital. The C-T ratio and the frontal area were measured.
Results: The study comprised 120 subjects who were admitted for coronary and L.V angiogram for diagnostic reasons. 89subjects (74.2%) are male and 31subjects (25.8%) are female .17(14%) subjects have left ventricular dysfunction and dilated L.V with EDV≥110 cm^2 by angiogram. (76) Subjects (71%) had LAD (Left anterior descending artery disease), (40) subjects (37%) had LCX (Left circumflex artery disease), 10subjects (9%) had LMS (Left main stem artery disease) and (38) subjects (34%) RCA (disease). 13subjects (10%) had valve disease , 2subjects (1%) of them have aortic stenosis , 5 subjects (4%) had A.I (aortic inche), 4 subjects (3%) had M.S(Mitral stenosis) , 6 subjects (5%) had M.R Mitral regurgitation and combined valve disease .The abnormal chest radiogram C/T Ratio had a sensitivity of 56.6%, a specificity of 78.6%, and positive ,negative predictive values and accuracy of 95.2% ,19.3% and 59.2% respectively, in the diagnosis of left ventricular dysfunction.while the abnormal chest radiogram FA/BSA £ had a sensitivity of 47.2%, specificity of 42.9%, and positive ,negative predictive values and accuracy of 86.2% ,9.7% and 46.7% respectively.
Conclusion: The radiological study of the thorax is not an accurate indicator of left ventricular dysfunction; its use as a screening method to initially approach the patient with ventricular dysfunction should be reevaluated.

Abstract

This research deals with the seventh Qur'anic recitations. It deals with the differences between (Faelin) & (Failin) forms in the Glorious Qur'an , and the variety and richness of meaning that results from this difference which explains the semantic depth that the Qur'anic teat conveys. The research also explains the semantic difference between the similar derivation forms such as : lsm – alfail, and Al – Sifa – al – mushabbaha for functioning in the same linguistic circle

Abstract

The calculated values of Compton profile of Fe,Ni metals and their two alloys namely Fe0.5-Ni0.5 and Fe0.64-Ni0.36 are reported. The Renormalized Free Atom(RFA) model are used to determine the most favored electron configurations for the two metals which are found to be Fe(3d6.7-4s1.3) and Ni(3d8.8-4s1.2) respectively ,the values for FREE ELECTRON(FE) model and FREE ATOM(FA) were calculated for the same also. The Super Position model were used to find the Compton profile values for the two alloys .All theoretical values for the two metals as well as their alloys are compared with the recent available experimental and theoretical values and they show a good agreement.

قيم شكل منحنى كومبتون لمعدني الحديد والنيكل وسبائكهما تم حسابهم باستخدام نماذج مختلفة هي نموذج اعادة معايرة الذرة الحرة ونموذج الالكترون الحر وقيم الذرة الحرة للمعدنين, والذي تم ايجاد افضل ترتيب الكتروني لكل منهما. لقد استخدم نموذج التركيب الاعظم لايجاد قيم شكل منحنى كومبتون للسبيكتين Fe0.5-Ni0.5 و Fe0.64-Ni0.36. جميع القيم المحسوبة تمت مقارنتها مع احدث ما متوفر من قيم تجريبية حيث وجدنا تطابق كبير بينها, تم ايضا دراسة احتمالية انتقال الشحنة بين مكونات السبيكتين من المعدنين.

Abstract

Myocardial ischemia–reperfusion represents a clinically relevant problem associated with thrombolysis, angioplasty and coronary bypass surgery. Injury of myocardium due to ischemia–reperfusion includes cardiac contractile dysfunction, arrhythmias as well as irreversible myocytes damage. A total of 24 Swiss albino adult male mice were randomized into 4 equal groups. Group (1) sham group; Group (2) control group; Group (3) control vehicle (DMSO) group; Group (4) Ferulic acid treated group. Results of this study showed that levels of myocardial IL-6, were increased (p<0.001) in the control group. Histologically, all mice in control group showed significant cardiac injury (p<0.001). Ferulic acid significantly counteract the increase in myocardium level of IL-6 (P < 0.001). Histological analysis revealed that ferulic acid markedly reduced (P < 0.001) the severity of cardiac injury in the mice underwent LAD ligation procedure.
