Abstract

A new, simple, sensitive and rapid spectrophotometric method is proposed for the determination oftrace amount of palladium (II). The method is based on the formation of a 1:1complex with 3-(4′- antipyriyl azo)1- nitroso-2-naphthol (APANN) as a new reagent is developed . The complex has a maximum absorption at436.5 nm and εmax of 0.19 x105 L. mol-1. cm-1. A linear correlation (0.1–2.0 μg. ml-1) was found betweenabsorbance at λmax and concentration.

Abstract

A new , simple , sensitive and rapid spectrophotometric method isproposed for the determination of trace amount of cobalt (II) . The method isbased on the formation of a 2:1 complex with 3-(4′- antipyriyl azo) 1- nitroso-2-naphthol (APAN) as a new reagent is developed . The complex has a maximumabsorption at 432 nm and εmax of 3.3 X 104 L. mol-1. cm-1 . A linearcorrelation (0.1 – 2.5 μg. ml-1) was found between absorbance at λmax andconcentration . The accuracy and reproducibility of the determination methodfor various known amounts of cobalt (II) were tested . The results obtained areboth precise (RSD was better than 0.60 % ) and accurate (relative error wasbetter than 0.2 % ) . The effect of diverse ions on the determination of cobalt(II) to investigate the selectivity of the method were also studied . The stabilityconstant of the product was 1.0 X 108 L. mol-1 . The proposed method wassuccessfully applied to the analysis of synthetic mixtures and raw milk withoutany preliminary concentration or separation.

Abstract

A new, simple, sensitive and rapid spectrophotometric method is proposed for the determination of trace amount of Copper (II). The method is based on the formation of a 1:2 complex with 3-(3-phenylpyrazylazo)2,7-naphthalendiol (3PPAN) as a new reagent is developed. The complex has a maximum absorption at 516 nm and (ε max ) of 9.5x10 3L. mol-1. cm-1 .A linear correlation (1.25 –10. 0 μg. ml-1) was found between absorbance at λ max and concentration. The accuracy and reproducibility of the determination method for various known amounts of Copper (II) were tested. The results obtained are both precise (RSD was 0.206%) and accurate (relative error was 1.14 %). The stability constant of the product was 5.00X10 10 L. mol-1. The method was applied successfully in green cabbage leaves .

تم اقتراح طريقة طيفية وبسيطة وحساسة وسريعة لقياس كمية ضئيلة من النحاس (II). تعتمد الطريقة على تكوين مركب 1: 2 مع 3- (3-phenylpyrazylazo) 2،7-naphthalendiol (3PPAN) عند تطوير كاشف جديد. يحتوي المجمع على أقصى امتصاص عند 516 نانومتر و (ε أقصى) 9.5 × 10 3 لتر. مول-1. cm-1. تم العثور على علاقة خطية (1.25–10. 0 ميكروغرام. مل -1) بين الامتصاص عند λ max والتركيز. تم اختبار دقة واستنساخ طريقة تحديد كميات مختلفة معروفة من النحاس (II). النتائج التي تم الحصول عليها دقيقة (RSD كانت 0.206 ٪) ودقيقة (كان الخطأ النسبي 1.14 ٪). كان الثبات الثابت للمنتج 5.00X10 10 L. mol-1. تم تطبيق الطريقة بنجاح في أوراق الملفوف الأخضر.
