Rafiq Sidam was one of the reformative, political personality that included the leadership and established a modern Turkey Republic. But he did not get high attention of a study and research in spite of his what he presented to Turkey in the medical field and political academy work, he met the leader Mustafa Kamal Basha Ataturk during the first world war (1914-1918) and went together to Samson which the spark of the War of Independence began in 1919, from that time Rafiq Sidam was one of the important and influential personality in the group that led independent war after declaring republic and he became of the leading names that trusted within modern republic of Turkey.

يُعد رفيق صايدام من أوائل الشخصيات السياسية والإصلاحية ضمن المجموعة القيادية المؤسسة للجمهورية التركية الحديثة، ولكنه لم ينل ما يستحقه من الإشادة والبحث والدراسة بالرغم مما قدمه للطب التركي والعمل الأكاديمي والسياسي. إذ إلتقى رفيق صايدام وتعَرفَ على القائد مصطفى كمال باشا أتاتورك إبان الحرب العالمية الأولى (1914_1918) وذهبا معاً الى مدينة سامسون التي انطلقت منها شرارة حرب الاستقلال عام 1919م، ومنذُ ذلك الحين أصبح رفيق صايدام فرداً مهماً ومؤثراً في المجموعة التي قادت حرب الاستقلال التركية وبعد إعلان الجمهورية أصبح من الأسماء القيادية الموثوق بها في الجمهورية التركية الحديثة.
