Abstract

Study was conducted to isolate and diagnosis of bacterial which sensitive and resistance for components of Hg and Pb, and the ability of these isolate for resistance to remove high concentrations of Pb and Hg from components derived soil extract. Personalize Enterobacter cloacae 2w isolated filename as isolated from soil extract wetthass to a concentration of 5 mg Pb/L and 0.25 mg Hg/l. It also found that isolation resistance and treatable with ordinary two Pseudomonas putida1N resisted concentration was 150 mg Pb/L and 3.5 mg Hg/l. And isolation resistance added massively vaccine Center 6.2 Log cfu/ml of growth density 6.5 Log cfu/ml with a shot in the Center to focus 90 mg Pb/L and remove 60% of It also has the same isolation of growth-intensive 4.5 Log cfu/ml a concentration 3.5 mg Hg/L and remove 68.9 percent during a incubation of 48 hours.

تم عزل وتشخيص البكتيرية المتحسسة والمقاومة لعنصري الرصاص و الزئبق وقيمت قدرة هذه العزلات المقاومة في إزالة التراكيز العالية للعنصرين الرصاصPb و الزئبق Hg من وسط مستخلص التربة المزيجيه الطينية. شخصت العزلة المتحسسة بانها Enterobacter cloacae 2W المعزولة من مستخلص التربة الزراعية، وتتحسس لوجود تركيز 5 ملغم Pb / لتر و0.25 ملغم Hg / لتر، كما وجد أن العزلة المقاومة والمعزولة من مستخلص التربة للمنطقة الصناعية Pseudomonas putida1N قاومت تركيز 150 ملغم Pb/ لتر و3.5 ملغم Hg / لتر، واستطاعت العزلة المقاومة المضافة بكثافة لقاح للوسط 6.2 Log cfu/ml ( لوغاريتم وحدة تكوين مستعمرة مل ) من النمو بكثافة 6.5 Log cfu/ml بوجود الرصاص في الوسط بتركيز90 ملغم Pb/ لتر وإزالة 60% منه، كما تمكنت نفس العزلة من النمو بكثافة 4.5 Log cfu/ml بوجود تركيز 3.5 ملغم Hg لتر وإزالة 68.9% منه خلال مدة حضن 48 ساعة.

Abstract

The present study was designed to find the role, of grape seed extract against lead toxicity. Study was used 25 male rats that divided randomly to five groups (5 rats in each group) and the treatment continue four week in each group, control group administrated with normal saline, rats group treatment with (orally) lead (Pb), third group received lead (Pb) 100mg/kg and 50mg/kg seed extract, fourth group received lead (Pb) and 100mg/kg seed extract, fifth group received lead (Pb) and 200mg/kg seed extract. Rats group received lead show significant (P<0.05) decrease in counts, motility of sperm and increase the deformity of sperms. Other wise, rats group received lead show significant (P<0.05) decrease in glutathione (GSH), catalase (CAT) and increase levels of malonedialdehyied (MDA) compared with control group. The treated group with seed extract at different doses, sperm parameters and oxidative stress show gradual recovery. In 200mg/kg dose of seed extract, all parameters of study back to the normal ranges. It was concluded from this study that grape seed extract has important role against toxicity of lead in male rats.

صممت الدراسة الحالية لايجاد دور مستخلص بذور العنب ضد سمية الرصاص. استخدمت الدراسة 25 جرذ قسمت الى خمس مجموعات (5 جرذان لكل مجموعة) واستمرت المعالجة لمدة اربع اسابيع في كل المجاميع. جرعت مجموعة السيطرة بالمحلول الملحي, مجموعة جرذان الثانية واعطيت (فمويا) رصاص 100mg/kg, مجموعة جرذان الثالثة اعطيت (فمويا) رصاص ومستخلص البذور لمدة اربع اسابيع 50mg/kg, مجموعة جرذان الرابعة اعطيت رصاص ومستخلص البذور 100mg/kg, مجموعة جرذان الخامسة اعطيت رصاص ومستخلص البذور 200mg/kg. اظهرت مجموعة الجرذان المعطاة رصاص 100mg/kg انخفاض معنوي (P<0.05) في اعداد وحركة النطف وزيادة في تشوهات النطف مقارنة مع مجموعة السيطرة. من جهة اخرى, اظهرت مجموعة الجرذان المعطاة رصاص 100mg/kg انخفاض معنوي (P<0.05) في GSH وCAT وزيادة في MDA مقارنة مع مجموعة السيطرة. وادت المعالجة بمستخلص البذور وبجرعات مختلفة ادى الى تحسن تدريجي بمعايير النطف والجهد التاكسدي. وقد عادت مع الجرعة 200mg/kg من مستخلص البذور كل معايير الدراسة الى الحدود الطبيعية. يستنتج من هذه الدراسة بان مستخلص بذور العنب لعب دورا مهما ضد سمية الرصاص في ذكور الجرذان.

Abstract

Lead and Chromium ion samples of five commercial samplesof each of twenty brands of lipstick sold at locally markets in Iraq weredetermined by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Samples ofdigested Lipstick were used, acid digestion method using acids HCl:HNO3 in ratio 1:3 were used before analysis. Average for analyzedsamples were Pb, 0.10-4.85 ppm; Cr, 0.18-5.2 ppm. Samples No.9 andNo.4 showed the least concentrations of Pb and Cr respectively. Thesevalues are not expected to be toxic to humans. However, exposure overlong periods might cause accumulation of the elements in the body andeven at low concentration; some metals could initiate allergic reactions.

Abstract

The present study investigates the possibilityof removing lead (Pb II) ions from aqueous solution in batch process by the adsorption onto black tea wastes.The influences of different adsorption parameters such as pH, contact time, adsorbent dosage and metal concentration have been studied. The maximum result at optimum pH 4, 60 min contact time, 0.5 g/100ml dosage and 10 mg/l initial metal concentration were 96%, 98%, 97% and 98.5% respectively at room temperature. The equilibrium data depicted by Freundlich and Langmuir models. The Freundlich isotherm get together with the experimental data than Langmuir. This study enhance to use black tea waste as an inexpensive material, it can be an alternative to other expensive adsorbents used to remove Pb(II) ions from wastewater

Abstract

Thin films of Bi2-x(CuPb)xSr2Ca2Cu3O10+ compound (x  0, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.4) were prepared by Pulse laser deposition (frequency 6 Hz, energy 500mJ, pulses 500, vacuum 101 Tor and 1 Cm distance between the substrate and the target) at room temperature of 300 nm thickness onto cleaned glass substrates. Optical measurements for all values of x indicate the same value of transmittance (97.76) but at different positions of wavelengths with shifting towards short wavelength within the extreme wavelength range (200-1100) nm. High optical energy gap for films is at x  0. The reflectance approaches to zero at for all values of x. Atomic force microscopy and photoluminescence for the films are studied.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the activity of plant Sesbania rostrata and two isolate from arbuscular mycorrhizae fungi (A,B) as a bioremediation of soil polluted by cadmium and lead elements in north and south of Baghdad city. The results showed that the average of soil pollution by cadmium and lead elements in north of Baghdad was less than the average of soil pollution in the south of Baghdad which recorded 10.0, 9.0 mg/kg and 27.0, 25.0 mg/kg respectively. The plant Sesbania recorded ability to accumulate the lead element in shoot system 19.65 mg/kg and in root system 27.2 mg/kg and for cadmium element 19.6, 24.6 mg/kg in shoot and root respectively. The results showed that the isolate A from soil pollution is more effected than isolate B which isolated from uncontaminated soil.

نفذت هذه الدراسة لتحديد فعالية نبات السيسبان Sesbania rostrata وعزلة من فطر المايكورايزا الشجيرية Glomus mosseae (A و B ) في الاستصلاح البايولوجي للترب الملوثة بعنصري الرصاص والكاديميوم في شمال وجنوب مدينة بغداد. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن معدلات تلوث التربة بعنصري الكاديميوم والرصاص في شمال مدينة بغداد كانت أقل من معدلات تلوث التربة جنوب بغداد اذ سجلت 10.0 , 9.0 ملغم/ كغم و 27.0, 25.0 ملغم/ كغم وعلى التوالي. سجل نبات السيسبان قابلية على تجميع عنصر الرصاص في المجموع الخضري بلغ 19.6ملغم/ كغم وفي المجموع الجذري 27.2 ملغم/ كغم ولعنصر الكاديميوم 19.6, 24.6 ملغم/كغم للمجموعين الخضري والجذري وعلى التوالي. كما أظهرت النتائج تفوق العزلةA المعزولة من تربة ملوثة على العزلة B المعزولة من ترب غير ملوثة للفطر Glomus mosseae في قابليتها على الاستصلاح البايولوجي.

Abstract

Pure and Lead-doped poly vinyl alcohol (Pb-PVA) films were prepared by volume mixture using casting technique by different concentrations (2% and 6%). The characteristics of composites was investigated by FTIR spectroscopy. The optical properties, absorption and transmission of films were investigated through the transmission measurements at room temperature in wavelength range of (200-1100 nm). Overall we observe that the values of Eg decreases by the increasing of concentration Values of Eg determined to be 6.2, 4.745 and 4.75 eV for pure PVC, 2% and 6% Pb respectively.

اغشية بولي فنايل الكحول النقية و المطعمة بالرصاص تم تحضيرها بمزج حجمي بنسب مختلفة ( 2% و 6%) بطريقة الصب. خصائص المركب شخصت بواسط طيف الاشعة تحت الحمراء . الخواص البصرية ، الامتصاصية و النفاذية شخصت بواسطة قياسات الامتصاصية في درجة حرارة الغرفة عند مدى للطول الموجي (200-1100) نانومتر. قلت قيم فجوة الطاقة بزيادة نسب التطعيم حيث كانت قيم فجوة الطاقة 6.2 و 4.75 و 4.745 الكترون فولت للنماذج PVC% و2% و6% على التوالي.

Abstract

A simple, rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of baclofen in pharmaceutical preparations were developed by combining a spectrophotometric detector with Flow injection analysis. This method based on the oxidation of iron (II) to iron (III) by baclofen and formation of complex between iron (III) and potassium hexacyano ferrate (II) in acidic solution. The absorbance from prussian blue dye is recorded at 700 nm. Chemical and physical parameters of this system were investigated. The linearity of baclofen is ranged from (0.05-25) mmol.L-1 with correlation coefficient r = 0.9972. The limit of detection (S/N=3) was equaled 0.01 mmol.L-1 the L.O.Q was 1.05 mmol.L-1 and a relative standard deviation for 6 replicate determinations of baclofen in 10 mmol.L-1 solution was 1.3 % using 100 µL sample volume. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of baclofen in pharmaceutical formulation with recovery 99%. Using paired t-test it was shown that there was no significant difference between the proposed method and official method on that basis the proposed method can be accepted as an alternative analytical method. Abstract

Seventy five samples of care products that of different classes (facial blush, dried powder for face, and shadows of eye) analyzed to their contents of five elements (Cu, Co, Ni, Cd and Pb) in our work. The work has been done by using atomic absorption and combinations, digestion of acid. The concentrations of metals and elements in part per million for facial blush were Co (10.2 ± 2.7), Cu (0.038 ± 0.01), Ni (24.6 ± 7.1), Cd (4.90 ± 1.93) and pb (75.1 ± 13.1), for dried powder for face were Co (213 ± 89.65), Cu (0.137 ± 0.02), Ni (24.6 ± 7.1), Cd (5.1 ± 1.82 ) and Pb (295.1 ± 101.2 ), and for eye shadows were Co (15.1 ± 2.7), Cu (0.038 ± 0.01), Ni (32.7 ± 5.1), Cd (5.40 ± 1.12) and Pb (17.9 ± 3.51). Levels of analyzed elements are not seen to be humans toxic, time of exposure might be a cause of elements accumulation in the body and cause diseases. At the above levels.

Abstract

Samples of Bi1.6Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+δ superconductor were prepared by solid-state reaction method to study the effects of gold nanoparticles addition to the superconducting system, Nano-Au was introduced by small weight percentages (0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.0, and 1.25 weight %). Phase identification and microstructural characterization of the samples were investigated using XRD and SEM. Moreover, DC electrical resistivity as a function of the temperature, critical current density Jc, AC magnetic susceptibility, and DC magnetization measurements were carried to evaluate the relative performance of samples. x-ray diffraction analysis showed that both (Bi,Pb)-2223 and Bi-2212 phases coexist in the samples having an orthorhombic crystal structure. Both the onset critical temperatures Tc (onset) and zero electrical resistivity critical temperatures Tc (R=0) of the samples were determined from the DC electrical resistivity measurements. An improvement of the superconducting transition temperature of 6.36 % was obtained with increasing Au nanoparticles to x = 1.25 wt.%, while the critical current density is improved by 220 %. AC magnetic susceptibility measurement showed that the diamagnetic fraction and intergranular coupling of the x = 1.25 wt.% sample are greater than those of the others. The variation of magnetization with temperature (M-T curve) of the samples was measured by cooling the sample in zero fields (ZFC) and an applied field of 10 Oe (FC). The results of AC magnetic susceptibility and DC magnetization measurements were in good agreement with DC electrical resistivity measurement.

بطريقة تفاعل الحالة الصلبة لغرض دراسة تأثيرأضافة Bi1.6Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+δ حضرت النماذج فائقة التوصيل دقائق الذهب النانوية للنظام وبنسب وزنية صغيرة مساوية الى (0.50 ,0.25 , 0.75, 1.0 1.25,٪). وقد تم تشخيص الاطوار وتحديد الخصائص التركيبية للعينات باستخدام جهاز حيود الاشعة السينية والمجهر الالكتروني الماسح. أجريت قياسات المقاومية الكهربائية المستمرة كدالة لدرجة الحرارة وكثافة التيار الحرج والقابلية المغناطيسية والمغنطة المستمرة لتقييم الأداء النسبي للعينات.بينت تحليلات الاشعة السينية وجود الطورين Bi-2223, Bi-2212 وان التركيب البلوري معيني قائم. تم حساب كل من Tc (onset) و Tc (R=0) من قياسات المقاومية الكهربائية المستمرة .ووجد تحسن في درجة الانتقال للتوصيل الفائق بمقدار.36 ٪ عند زيادة نسبة الذهب الى(x = 1.25 wt.%,) بينما كثافة التيار الحرج سوف تتحسن بمقدار220 %. قياسات القابلية المغناطيسية المتناوبة بينت ان الاقتران الحبيبي للنموذج x=1.25. اعلى من بقية النماذج. كما تم قياس تغييرالتمغنط مع درجات الحرارة (M-T curve)وذلك بتبريد العينة في مجال مساوي الى الصفر(ZFC) وكذلك في مجال مساوي الى 10 Oe (FC). نتائج القابلية المغناطيسية المتناوبة وقياسات التمغنط كانت مطابقة لنتائج المقاومية الكهربائية المستمرة.
