Abstract

In this study a gas mixtures [CO+N2] are mixed with a specified ratio of 9:1 (N2:CO).The reason for this mixing is that the molecular weight are very close to each other.The main parameters in question to be studied are the diffusion coefficient of the discharge and the related constants to it. The main calculations held that were concerned the plasma discharge operation of optimum thermodynamic constants [Total pressure of 3mb and the discharge temperature of 450Ko]. The results were consistent and very optimum compared with their experimental values, and the optimum circumstance was prepared to use them as an active medium for a high power molecular gas laser.

تم في ھذا البحث اخذ خلیط غازي مؤلف من غازي النتروجین و أول أكسید الكربون و بنسبة 9:1 . السبب في ھذا الخلط ھو تقارب الوزن الجزيئي لهدين الغازين من بعضيهما البعض . ان معامل الانتشار هو المعلم الاساسي في البحث اضافة الى الثوابت المتعلقة بالحسابات الرئيسية التي تمثلت في عملية التفريغ البلازمي التماثل الثرموديناميكي اجريت تحت ضغط (3mb) ودرجة حرارة ( ( 45k. كانت النتائج منطقية ومتماثلة مع القيم العملية . تم تهيئة عملية التماثل لتحضير وسط فعال دي جزيئات عالية القدرة للغاز المستخدم في اللیزر.

Abstract

In this work, the current-voltage characteristics of dc plasma discharges were studied. The current-voltage characteristics of argon gas discharge at different inter-electrode distances and working pressure of 0.7mbar without magnetrons were introduced. Then the variation of discharge current with inter-electrode distance at certain discharge voltages without using magnetron was determined. The current-voltage characteristics of discharge plasma at inter-electrode distance of 4cm without magnetron, with only one magnetron and with dual magnetrons were also determined. The variation of discharge current with inter-electrode distance at certain discharge voltage (400V) for the cases without magnetron, using one magnetron and dual magnetrons were studied. Finally, the discharge current-voltage characteristics for different argon/nitrogen mixtures at total gas pressure of 0.7mbar and inter-electrode distance of 4cm were presented.

Abstract

In this work, a low-pressure dc-discharge plasma is characterized by electrical floating probe method. To get sufficient working conditions for plasma electrical probe, a sweep voltage power supply was built. The plasma generation chamber was used to produce glow-discharge using nitrogen and argon gases at pressures of 0.03, 0.07 and 0.1 mbar. The current-voltage characteristics were performed using plasma probe and some calculations, such as electron temperature, plasma frequency and plasma species density, were carried out. The results obtained from I-V curve showed that electron temperature for argon and nitrogen plasmas was increased by increasing gas pressure.

Abstract

In this work, we were calculate the electron diffusion coefficients, such as, the drift velocity, characteristic energy, and collision frequencies using the cross sections of the momentum transfer and inelastic for electrons in CO2 from figure(1) after solving the Boltzmann transport equation numerically using the Finite-Difference Method in gas medium through applied electric field at 300 oK. The theoretical predictions were obtained in agreement with the experimental values was publishered.

في هذا العمل ، تم حساب معاملات انتشار الالكترونات مثل سرعة الانجراف، الطاقة الميزة و ترددات التصادم باستعمال المقاطع العرضية المرنة وغير مرنة للالكترونات في غاز ثاني أوكسيد الكاربون CO2 من شكل (1) خلال حل معادلة الانتقال لبولتزمان عددياً باستخدام طريقة التفريق المحدد في وسط غازي بعد تسليط مجال كهربائي عليه عند درجة حرارة 300 كلفن . النتائج التي تم الحصول عليها تنبأ بأنها متوافقة مع النتائج العملية المنشورة.
