Abstract

Image preprocessinghas assumed an essential part ofhandwriting recognition system. The main primary stage of the image preprocessing is thresholding.Aneffectivethresholdingmethodis based on Fuzzy C-Means clustering (FCM) for Arabic Handwriting Recognition system (AHR) has been proposed in this paper. Since thresholding stage in AHR isimperative to reduce the dimensionality of image to remove the undesirableinformation (noise)then increase the processing speed of the AHR system. The algorithm is performing by feedingthe intensity of the pixel value of the image pixels into the FCM clustering algorithm. Exploratory results with artificial and real life images show thatthe proposed method gives better accuracy and good efficiency than the current methods.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper describes the design and development of a prototype system for the automatic authentication of an individual based on the human ear patterns. Information at the feature extraction and at the confidence level, where the matching scores are reported by Probabilistic neural network, is discussed. The system was tested with the template files. The test performance reaching False Rejection Rate (FRR) = 9% and False Acceptance Rate (FAR) = 9%, suggests that the system can be used in telephone security environments.

Abstract

In this paper propose a method for the diagnosis of atherosclerosis as if that was normal or abnormal arteries, it has been the use of neural network technology after making optimizations, filter and remove the impurities of the arteries. Samples were taken from a group of patients in Nasiriyah Heart Center disparate ages and both sexes, which was 110 samples were 60 of them training samples which showed the results of 100% and 50 of these samples were tested results showed 92%

Abstract

Cuneiform symbols recognition represents a complicated task in pattern recognition and image analysis as a result of problems that related to cuneiform symbols like distortion and unwanted objects that associated with applying Binrizetion process like spots and writing lines. This paper aims to present new proposed algorithms to solve these problems for reaching uniform results about cuneiform symbols recognition that related to (select appropriate Binerized method, erased writing lines and spots) based on statistical Skewness measure, image morphology and distance transform concepts. The experiment results show that our proposed algorithms have excellent result and can be adopted as a preprocessing technique.

Abstract

AbstractIn this paper we propose algorithm for the diagnosis of brain tumor in both cases normal or abnormaltumor, it has been the use of neural network technology after making optimizations, filter andremove the impurities of the brain image. Abstract

One of the important differences between multiwaveletsand scalar wavelets is that each channel in the filter bank has avector-valued output as scalar-valued input signal mustsomehow be converted into a suitable vector-valued signal .Thisconversion is called preprocessing[1]. Preprocessing is mappingprocess which is done by a prefilter. A postfilter just does theopposite. The most obvious way to get two input rows from agiven signal to repeat the signal [2]. Two rows go to into thernultifilter bank. This procedure is called "Repeated row" whichintroduce over sampling of data by a factor of 212]. Two rowsgo into the multifilter bank. For data compression , where one istrying to find compact transform representation for a dataset[3],it is imperative to find critically sampled multiwavelet transformschemes which this paper focus on finding a simple and easy tofollow algorithm for its computation. One famous multiwaveletfilter used here is the GHM filter proposed by Geronimo. TheGHM basis offers a combination of orthogonally, symmetry,and compact support, which can not be achieved by any scalarwavelet basis [4]. Using a computer program for the proposedmethod, an example test on tiger image is verified which showsimage properties after a single level decomposition and thereconstructed image after reconstruction'

Abstract

Image preprocessing has assumed an essential part in Arabic Handwriting Recognition System (AHRS). It has several stages which affect the accuracy of the recognition system. An efficient preprocessing framework for Arabic handwriting recognition system has been proposed in this paper. Since preprocessing stage in AHRS is imperative to reduce the dimensionality of image to remove the undesirable information then increase the processing speed of the AHRS. Besides, it provide correction process for the dataset elements to make it work probably through several processes that will discuss in this paper. Exploratory results with artificial and real life images shows that, the proposed method gives an efficient results that help to get a high recognition rate in the AHRS.

مرحلة تجهيز الصورة لها دور اساسي في نظام التعرف على النص المكتوب يدويا للغة العربية (AHRS). حيث لديها العديد من المراحل التي تؤثر على دقة نظام التعرف. تم اقترح إطار تجهيزها كفاءة في اللغة العربية نظام التعرف على الكتابة اليدوية في هذا البحث. حيث ان مرحلة التجهيز AHRS أمر لا بد منه للحد من بعدية الصورة لإزالة المعلومات غير المرغوب فيها ثم زيادة سرعة تجهيز AHRS . الى جانب ذلك، فإنه يوفر عملية تصحيح للعناصر مجموعة البيانات والعمل على انجاحه وربما من خلال العديد من العمليات التي ستناقش في هذا البحث. نتائج استكشافية مع صور الحياة الاصطناعية وحقيقية تبين أن الطريقة المقترحة يعطي نتائج فعالة من شأنها أن تساعد على الحصول على معدل تعرف عالي في AHRS.

Abstract

Face recognition technique is an automatic approach for recognizing a person from digital images using mathematical interpolation as matrices for these images. It can be adopted to realize facial appearance in the situations of different poses, facial expressions, ageing and other changes. This paper presents efficient face recognition model based on the integration of image preprocessing, Co-occurrence Matrix of Local Average Binary Pattern (CMLABP) and Principle Component Analysis (PCA) methods respectively. The proposed model can be used to compare the input image with existing database images in order to display or record the citizen information such as name, surname, birth date, etc. The recognition rate of the model is better than 99%. Accordingly, the proposed face recognition system is functional for criminal investigations. Furthermore, it has been compared with other reported works in the literature using diverse databases and training images

Abstract

Abstract:The relatively new field of multiwavelets shows promise in removing some ofthe limitations of wavelets. Multiwavelets offer more design options and hence cancombine all desirable transform features. In this paper several new algorithms forcomputing advance transforms are proposed. Firstly a fast procedure for computing of1-D and 2-D multiwavelet transforms is introduced. Secondly, for the first time, acomplete new procedure for computing of 3-D multiwavelet transforms is given.Thirdly, the inverse procedures of all the above transform for multi-dimensional casesare verified. In addition to the mathematical prove, all these new algorithms wereverified also using illustrated example.

الخلاصة:يقدم متعدد المويجات (multiwavelets) امكانية اداء فائق لتطبيقات معالجة الصور وذلك قياسا بالمويجات القياسية، ومع ذلك تبقى هنالك مساحات لبحوث متعدد المويجات التي تتطلب دراسات اخرى لغرض البلوغ الى تطبيقات افضل، ولعل من تلك المساحات البحثية محاولة ايجاد نظام حل مبسط الذي من شأنه تسهيل حساب معاملات متعدد المويجات المنفصلة. لذا فان هذا البحث يقدم اولا، طريقة طريقة سريعة في حساب تحويل متعدد المويجات المنفصلة بالنسبة للاشارات ذات البعد الواحد والبعدين. ثانيا، ولاول مرة، يتم تقديم طريقة جديدة لحساب تحويل متعدد المويجات المنفصلة بالنسبة للاشارات ثلاثية الابعاد. ثالثا، الاجراءات المعكوسة (اعادة بناء) لجميع التحويلات اعلاه تم تحقيقها. بالاضافة الى برهنتها رياضيا، فان جميع هذه الخوارزميات الجديدة حققت باستخدام امثلة. تكمن اهمية الطرق المقترحة في تبسيطها عملية حساب معاملات متعدد المويجات لعمليتي التحويل واعادة البناء وبالاضافة الى استرجاع الصورة المثالي بعد عملية اعادة البناء والذي يتم توضيحه من خلال الفحوصات على احدى الصور كمثال تطبيقي على الطرق.
