Abstract

The first diagonal cracking and ultimate shear load of reactive powder concrete (RPC) T-beams were investigated in this paper. Six beams were tested, a simplified formulation for the first diagonal cracking capacity Vcr is proposed while the analytical model to predict the ultimate shear capacity Vu is formulated based on the two bounds theory (upper and lower bound). A fiber reinforcing parameter is constituted and used based on the Variable Engagement Model (VEM). The predicted values of Vcr and Vu are compared with the test results and gives good agreements.

في هذا البحث,تم استقصاء اول حمل للتشقق القطري والتحمل الاقصى للقص لخرسانة المساحيق الفعالة ذات المقطع - T. تم اختبار ستة عتبات، وقد تم اقتراح صيغة مبسطة لحمل التشقق Vcr في حين تم اشتقاق سعة القص القصوى Vu سوية مع قوة القصّ المتصدّعة باستخدام نموذج مستند على نظريات الحدّ الاعلى والحد الادنى لللدونة.ان تشكيل واستخدام الالياف الفولاذية استند الى نموذج ترابط المتغيرات (VEM)).وقد تم مقارنة القيم المتوقعة لكل من ( Vcr وVu ) مع نتائج الاختبارو اعطت النتائج توافق جيد.

Abstract

: Shear behavior of (9) modified reactive powder lightweight concrete beams (MRPLWC) beams without web reinforcement under two point loading system, are studied. A number of variables are used to show their effects on the diagonal cracking load and ultimate shear load. Those variables are: volume fraction of fiber (Vf), ratio of longitudinal reinforcement (ρ) and the ratio of the shear span to the effective depth (a/d). The test results show that the shear strength increased by increasing the volume fraction and the ratio of longitudinal reinforcement, while a reduction in shear capacity is noticed by increasing the ratio of shear span to effective depth (a/d).
