Abstract

Samples of compact magnesia and alumina were evaporated using CO2-laser .The
Processed powders were characterized by electron microscopy and both scanning and transmission electron microscope. The results indicated that the particle size for both powders have reduced largely to 0.003 nm and 0.07 nm for MgO and Al2O3, with increasing in shape sphericity

حضرت مساحيق فائقة النعومه لمكبوسات المواد السيراميكيه ,اوكسيد المغنيسيوم واوكسيد الالمنيوم , حضرت باستعمال تقانة ليزر ثاني اوكسيد الكاربون . درست خصائصها التركيبيه بواسطة الحيود الالكتروني والمجهر الالكتروني الماسح والنافذ. النتائج بينت الاختزال بمقدار الحجم الحبيبي للمساحيق المحضره بحيث اصبحت بمقدار 0.003 نانو متر لمسحوق اوكسيد المغنيسيوم و لاوكسيد الالمنيوم0.07 , مع زياده في شكل الكرويه للحبيبات

Abstract

CdS thin films of different thickness have been prepared by dcsputtering technique on glass slides for a window layer of solar cells. The CdStarget were sputtered in different sputtering times (1,1.5,2.5,3) hrs, workingpressure (2×10-2) mbar and discharge voltage(2) kV.The structure of thenanoparticles films was investigated of CdS thin films by X-ray diffraction(XRD).The XRD patterns showed that the films were hexagonal (wurtzite)structure having strong preferential orientation along the (002) plane withparticle size in the range of (41.04-41.46-41.88-42.53) nm, the peak at (002)preferred orientations of the films are shifted a little from left to right side andfilms converted to crystalline form. The morphology of the nanoparticles filmswas studied by atomic force microscopy (AFM) which indicates that theaverage grain size of CdS thin film is in the range of (41.3-44.2-51.6-50.08) nm.The roughness of films surface increases with increasing the sputtering time,which can be useful for the solar cell.

Abstract

CdS/Si heterojunction has been fabricated by dc plasma sputtering technique. Polycrystalline CdS films have been prepared by dc plasma sputtering technique on Si substrate. The current – voltage under illumination showed that the photocurrent increases with increasing incident illumination intensity for CdS/Si heterojunction. The CdS thin films have been sputtered under vacuum of (9×10-2 ,8×10-2, 6×10-2,5×10-2) mbar, theheterojunction has better photovoltaic properties. The open circuit voltage (Voc) and the short circuit current (Isc)were found to vary with working discharge pressure, and the efficiency is 6.72% at 50.3 mW/cm2.

Abstract

In this paper, CdS/Si hetrojunction solar cell has been made by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD) of CdS thin film on to monocrystalline silicon substrate. XRD measurements approved that CdS film is changing the structure of CdS films from mixed hexagonal and cubic phase to the hexagonal phase with [101] predominant orientation. I-V characterization of the hetrojunction shows good rectification, with high spectral responsivity of 0.41 A/W, quantum efficiency 90%,and specific detectivity 2.9*1014 cmHz1/2W -1

هذا البحث تم تصنيع خلية شمسية متعددة الطبقات CdS/Si باستخدام الترسيب بالحمام الكيميائي لاغشية كبرتيد الكادميوم المرسبة على قواعد من السيلكون الاحادي البلورة.حيث اظهرت قياسات حيود الاشعة السينية ان التركيب البلوري لاغشية كبريتد الكادميوم متكون من تركيب خليط سداسي باتجاهية [101] .و قد اظهرت خصائص تيار-فولتية للمتعددة الطبقات تضخيم جيد مع استجابية طيفية عالية بحدود 0.41AW و ان الكفاءة الكمية 90% و الكشفية النوعية 2.9*1014 cmHz1/2W -1

Abstract

: Cadmium Sulphide (CdS) thin films were grown on glass substrates by the vacuum evaporation technique. The effect of thermal annealing on the structural and optical properties of the as deposited samples was analyzed. Structure of these films was characterized by X-ray diffraction . CdS films deposited have polycrystalline structure cubic(zinc blende) and hexagonal (demand) .The grain size increases with increasing annealing temperature. The optical properties of CdS films have highly transmittance in visible region of spectrum and reach to more than 84% . Band gap decreases from 2.55 to 2.33 eV with the increasing annealing temperature from 473K to 623 K..

أغشية رقيقة من مادة كبريتيد الكادميوم( CdS ) رسبت على أرضيات زجاجية بطريقة التبخير الفراغي.وتم دراسة تأثير المعاملة الحرارية على الخصائص البصرية والتركيبية. الخواص التركيبة لهذه الأغشية شخصت باستخدام تقنية حيود الأشعة السينية(XRD) حيت بينت ان غشاء CdS يمتلك تركيبا" بلوريا" مكعبا" (خارصين) وسداسيا"(ماس) ومعدل الحجم الحبيبي يزداد مع زيادة درجة حرارة التلدين. الخصائص البصرية درست باستخدام طيف النفاذية،حيث وجد إن غشاء CdS المرسب يمتلك نفاذية عالية في المنطقة المرئية من الطيف وتصل إلى أكثر من 84% مع فجوة طاقة عريضة تقل من 2.55eV الى2.33eV مع زيادة درجة حرارة المعاملة الحرارية.

Abstract

This study aims to prepare Cadmium Sulphide (CdS) thin films using thermal ChemicalSpray Pyrolysis (CSP) on glass of different temperatures substrate from cadmium nitratesolution. Constant thickness was (430 ± 20 nm) and the effect of substrate temperature on theoptical properties of prepared thin films. Optical properties have been studied fromtransmittance and absorbance spectral within wavelengths range (360 - 900 nm). The resultsshow that all the prepared films have a direct electron transitions and optical energy gapbetween (2.31-2.44 eV). They also show that the transmittance and optical energy gap offilms prepared from nitrate solution increase with increasing of substrate temperature, thentransmittance start downward with the continued increase in temperature (400, 450) oC.
