Abstract

An analysis of levels structure of 128Xe isotope within the framework of the proton-neutron interacting boson model is presented. Reduced electric quadrupole transition probabilities B(E2)and their ratios are reproduced. The mixing ratios for transitions with 0 or 1, 0 are compared with experiment. The presence of the mixed symmetry state in this isotope is discussed. Generally good agreement is obtained with a restricted number of adjustable parameters. Some predictions are presented for nucleus for which no experimental data are available.

Abstract

The nuclear level structure of Ge64-70 is analyzed taking into account the experimental information available, with respect to symmetry of IBM-3. The level energies, electric quadrupole reduced transition probability B(E2), magnetic dipole reduced transition probability B(M1), interband B(E2) ratios and multipole mixing ratios δ(E2/M1)are compared with available data. The adopted level schemes and the mixed symmetry states properties are discussed in the framework of isospin symmetry.

تمت دراسة التركيب النووي لمستويات الطاقة لنظائر الجرمانيوم Ge64-70 مع الأخذ في الأعتبار النتائج العملية المتوفرة وذلك باستخدام التمائل في النسخة الثالثة من نموذج البوزونات المتفاعلة (IBM-3). وقد حسبت طاقة المستويات وأحتمالية الأنتقال رباعي القطب الكهربائي وثنائي القطب المغناطيسي ونسبة الخلط وقورنت مع القياسات العملية. وتمت دراسة خواص المستويات المختلطة التماثل ايضا.

Abstract

The aim of this work was to evaluate some mechanical and physicalproperties of a composite material which consists of (epoxy/styrene-butadienerubber) blend as a matrix, reinforced with copper oxide (CuO) with a weightfraction 3%, and the composite material was manufactured by hand lay-up.The optimum mixing ratio was (75:25) % of epoxy and (SBR) was chosen toaccomplish the work due to its highest impact strength (2.1KJ/m2). The teststhat were performed on the material were: tensile test, impact test, thermalconductivity test, and the absorption test, in addition to the microscopicimaging using scanning electron microscope (SEM), to determine the surfacemorphology of the specimens. Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and hydrochloricacid (HCl), both (0.1) normal concentration solutions, were used for theimmersion. The results showed that CuO nanofiller improved tensile andimpact properties of the blend, besides increasing resistance to diffusion ofchemicals into the material. The results showed that the immersion in HClsolution increased the impact strength of the composite from (2.27KJ/m2) to(3.38KJ/m2), and also increased the tensile strength from (9.2MPa) to (9.8MPa), while immersion in NaOH solution decreased the tensile strength to(7.3MPa), but increased the impact strength to (2.42KJ/m2). Thermalconductivity was (0.21W/m.°C) before immersion in solutions, but changed to(0.27W/m.°C) and (0.24W/m.°C) after immersion in HCl and NaOHrespectively. The weight gain after immersion in NaOH was higher than weightgain after immersion in HCl.

Abstract

Two concentrations (0.1, 0.05 Mg/L) of chemical insecticides Lambda cyhalothrine were used in combination with Castor oil (Ricinus communis) in mixtures of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 ratio of insecticide: castor oil for their effect to the mortality of larvae and adult of confused flour beetle, Tribolium confusum (Du Val) which exposed to different surface substrates (aluminum, cardboard, and wood surfaces). The mortality data were recorded after 24 and 48 hours. The calculated mortality in aluminum surfaces were 53.00%, 56.00% and 62.00% in 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 mixing ratio, respectively, after 24 hours, in adults. With the cardboard treatment, the mortality were 43.00%, 56.00% and 57.66% in 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 mixing ratio, respectively, in the same treatment time. Whereas in wood surface the mortality were 56.33%, 58.00% and 61.00% in 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 mixing ratio, respectively, in the same treatment time. The results showed that 1:3 mixing ratio had the higher mortality ratio and the 1:1 mixing ratio had the least mortality against T. confusum. The results also revealed that all tested mix ratios are more efficacies on aluminum surface followed by cardboard and wood surface, respectively. In general, efficacy was the best on non-porous surfaces compared with more porous surfaces.

تمت دراسة تأثير المبيد الحشري لامبدا بالتركيزين (0,1, 0,05 ملغم / لتر) و وزيت الخروع وبنسب خلط 1:1, 1:2 و 1:3(زيت الخروع : مبيد اللامبدا) ضد يرقات و بالغات خنفساء الطحين المحيرة على اسطح الالمنيوم و الورق المقوى والخشب. وسجلت نسب الوفيات بعد 24 و 48 ساعة من المعاملة. وكانت نسب الوفيات للبالغات على سطح الألومنيوم المعامل 53.00، 56.00 و 62.00٪ عند نسب الخلط 1:1، 1:2 و 1:3 ، على التوالي، بعد 24 ساعة معاملة، اما عند سطح الورق المقوى المعامل فقد كانت نسب الوفيات 43,00, 56,00 و 57,66% عند نسب الخلط 1:1, 1:2 و1:3, على التوالي, عند نفس فترة التعريض. في حين أنه على سطح الخشب المعامل كانت نسب الوفيات 56,33، 58,00 و 61,00٪ عند نسب الخلط 1:1، 1:2 و 1:3 ، على التوالي، عند نفس فترة التعريض. وأظهرت النتائج اعلى نسبة وفيات عند استعمال نسبة الخلط 1:3, في حين أظهرت نسبة خلط 1:1 اقل نسبة وفيات ضد خنفساء الطحين المحيرة، واظهرت النتائج ايضا ان نسب الخلط المختبرة كانت أكثر كفاءة على سطح الالمنيوم تلاه سطح الخشب وسطح الورق المقوى على التوالي. بشكل عام اظهرت الاسطح غير المسامية كفاءة عالية مقارنة مع الاسطح الاكثر مسامية.
