A field trail was carried out in the Ruminant Research Station Pertaining The Office of Agricultural Researches/ Ministry of Agriculture. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of linseeds and sesame seeds on total cholesterol level of Awassi lambs. The design of lab experiments was CRD. The experiment Involved of fifteen Awassi lambs ages 7-9 months and average 34.25 kg live body weight were used Lambs were divided randomly into three equal groups, Group one A = Standard concentrate ratio, group two B = adding 5% linseeds to standard concentrate ratio, while group three C = adding 5% sesame seeds to standard concentrate ration. Results of the field trial was revealed that group B in average daily gain, improved in food conversion ratio, hot and chilled carcass weight, decreased in total cholesterol of tail fat and subcutenous fat and Rib- eye muscle area was increased (201 gm/animal/day, 8.16 kg dry matter/ kg gain, 27.56 kg, 27.166 kg, 98.45, 70 mg/ 100 ml and 15.66 cm2 respectively compared with other groups. while group C was revealed in decreased total cholesterol of inter muscular fat and increased ratio of lean to fat 42 mg/ 100 and 3.28 respectively compared with other groups. From this study we can concluded that using linseeds and sesame seeds to diet of ruminant led to increase average daily gain and improved the efficiency of meat production and sharp decreased in total cholesterol of carcass fat. It can be consumption this meat and positive effective for health human.

نفذت تجربة حقلية في محطة بحوث المجترات التابعة لدائرة البحوث الزراعية/ وزارة الزراعة. بهدف دراسة تأثير بذور الكتان وبذور السمسم في الصفات الانتاجية ومستوى الكولسترول الكلي في الحملان العواسية. استخدم التصميم العشوائي الكامل تضمنت هذه التجربة استخدام 15 ذكراً عواسياً بعمر 7-9 اشهر ومعدل اوزانها 34.25 كغم قسمت عشوائياً الى ثلاث مجاميع بواقع 5 حملان لكل مجموعة. وهي المجموعة الاولى A = عليقة مركزة قياسية، والمجموعة الثانية B = عليقة مركزة مضاف لها 5% بذور الكتان، والمجموعة الثالثة C = عليقة مركزة مضاف 5% بذور السمسم. اظهرت نتائج التجربة الحقلية تفوق المجموعة الثانية (B (P<0.05 في معدل الزيادة الوزنية اليومية وتحسن في كفاءة التحويل الغذائي ووزن الذبيحة الحار والبارد وانخفاض نسبة الكولسترول الكلي في دهن الالية وتحت الجلد وزيادة مساحة العضلة العينية. اذ بلغت القيم 201 غم/ حيوان/ يوم و8.16 كغم مادة جافة/ كغم زيادة وزنية و27.566 كغم و27.166 كغم و98.45 و70 ملغرام/ 100 مل و15.166 سم2 بالتتابع مقارنة مع بقية المجاميع. وتفوقت ((P<0.05 المجموعة C في خفض الكولسترول الكلي في دهن بين العضلات وزيادة في نسبة اللحم الى الدهن اذ بلغت القيم 42 ملغرام/ 100 مل و3.28% بالتتابع مقارنة مع بقية المجاميع. نستنتج من هذه الدراسة ان استخدام بذور الكتان والسمسم في تغذية المجترات ادى الى زيادة وزنية يومية وتحسن في كفاءة التحويل الغذائي، وتحسين في كفاءة انتاج اللحم، وحصل انخفاض حاد في نسبة الكولسترول الكلي في دهون الحملان، مماانعكس في امكانية استهلاك هذه اللحوم وتأثيرها الايجابي في صحة الانسان.
